Some years ago I did a 4-day fast as an experiment. After the first 24 hours or so hunger was mostly gone and I felt great. Doing 24 hours now is easier after having done this.My wife does intermittent fasting and swears by it. I’m actually fasting today. I can do 24 hours easily, but I’m shooting for 36. Not sure I have the discipline though.
If you think historically, our hunter-gatherer ancestors probably went without food many times in their lives when it was scarce for whatever reason. The human body does amazingly well without being constantly fed.
