So is the TCU game Shaka's swan song??

Which player in the UT starting five do you think would be benched in favor of a ttu player. Which ttu player would start over any one of our starters?
Really, I can't find one.
I wont bash any Texas or Tech players, but I will say this: For some reason Tech is a matchup nightmare for Texas just like Texas is a matchup nightmare for Kansas. I think all 3 programs have excellent players and coaches which is why they are all top 20 teams. If you took all the kids from these 3 programs, who knows who would start or not, it would depend on what style of play you would chose to play.

Considering I think we've been there once in my lifetime, it would be indeed "Elite" for Texas; also would be 'great".

That one trip to San Antonio and on to NOLA was really a lot of fun.

It just ain't fun trying to decide which of the eight I hate the least.

Given we have played 1 NCAA tourney game in the past 4 years, I'm amazed there aren't more "glass is half full" people here. We'll be a 4-seed and this team is capable of beating just about anyone. Quit bitching and enjoy the ride. :hookem:

Aside from the Final 4 with Barnes, Penders also got us to the Elite/Great/Whatever 8 with BMW in 1990. I was in small basketball band that got to travel to the tournament. We started with upset wins over Georgia and Purdue in the Hoosier dome. In the next round at Reunion Arena, we overcame a double digit halftime deficit to beat Xavier but alas we got matched up against the Pigs. Nolan Richardson and that team had our number that year. We lost to them for the 3rd time that year and missed a trip to Denver for the final 4.

We were peaking at the right time last year and I think about to make a little noise in the NCAAs when everything came to a screeching halt.

Eh...I'll guess we'll we see how the "fortunes" play out for Shaka this postseason.
He may do very well.
Evidently to your great disappointment.
ya got me there. haven't been a fan of him since he connected his team's ability to win based on the election of Donald Trump. Made me think of the quote of something like "The University of Texas athletic program will not be left to the feeble of mind or weak of heart".
As in, don't be whining about an election when you've got a team to coach and games to win.

Aww...he hurt your widdle feewings.

No it’s not his swan song. I can’t see Shaka jumping to the NBA at least until the end of the Big Dance.

IF i need to make more prognostications in order us to further our season I can---I was banned earlier this year for comments that others were allowed to make, so will probably be banned after this also---guess I am too OLD to voice my opinion on here...

You were saying...?
Sunshine pumper, I agree the team is looking solid and fight to the end. However, I’m equating these covid times with WWII times, when teams like Army had Heisman winners. Arizona, Kansas, Duke, Michigan State are all down. Maybe we can become the BYU of ncaa basketball history. And that’d be awesome, but not likely, and then, yes, watered down.

And Baylor, Michigan, Illinois, Gonzaga, and Houston are up.
