Shell buys Russian oil at a discount

They are the epitome of shameless but their beneficiaries (and that's what they are) will support them no matter what.
It’s a crock but the Democrat party doesn’t need to fool everyone into thinking it’s their duty to pay high *** gas prices - just enough to combine with their base of welfare bums / Section 8’er who don’t have to commute to work as they don’t, and the ruling class, to avoid too much of an electoral blowout.

The other media pushed line / lie is that gas prices are Putin’s price hikes.

Two birds with one stone. Ties gas prices to todays least in favor leader.

I saw an interview on the street where some zipperhead responded to the question “What do you feel Joe Biden should do?”
“More stimulus money”
I wanted to throat chop this clown.

To be honest, who’s fault is that viewpoint? The man on the street, or the politicians on both sides, including Trump, who all voted to print money out of thin air and throw it from the sky to cover up stupid polices like shutting down the country to hide from the Wuhan?

The solution to any problem the country faces is to print money and throw it around. After awhile, the voter believes it too.

Duck,

No one will even attempt to answer my questions:

1) A dozen years ago oil was over $100/bbl, but we were paying $1.87 for gas. What's the difference?

2) The gasoline you buy today is oil paid for months ago at $60/bbl. So why the sudden increase in gas prices?

3) How the hell can the democrats justify dangerous rail cars to transport oil at $9/bbl higher price than a much safer pipeline? (Oh yes, I forgot, no kickback needs justification.)

The theory behind the immediate gas hike, I have been told that they raise the price of gas to pay for replacement gas at the price of the higher oil price. I am not saying I agree or like that idea but that’s what I was told.

It's capitalism at its purest. :)

APR's Marketplace claimed that the National oil companies (Public companies) are resistant to jump too quickly to increasing production because they historically have leaped quickly then by the time the oil production comes on line a year later the price has already dropped again. The institutional investors are forcing these large public companies to take a pause before leaping.

Some of the issue is emissions over-regulation. We see this with diesel. If they eliminated the ULSD requirements, I would venture to say we could quickly see diesel return to being on par with regular unleaded.

As to the second, some of it is transportation costs, both in terms of the wage nonsense the left insists causes no harm as well as, in some cases, a shortage of drivers.

As to the latter...they cannot justify it other than with assuaging their delicate fee-fees and claiming their car holds a flower or some similar nonsense.

No that is business, raising prices to cover your next load of gas which will be higher priced. Capitalism is when station Y raises their price per gallon by .50 and station X only raises their price per gallon by .25. Where do you think people will go to buy gas? People from Texas will go to station X, people from OK don't know.

Re retail gas prices: the cost at the pump is based on what it will cost to fill the station’s tanks again. There are other factors but that is the main one

the cost jump from years ago also relates to the increased cost of refining

I am real interested in how Valero replaces the Russian stuff they were refining

The same is true when prices drop. Capitalism at it's finest.

Make no mistake, government regulation and drilling restrictions interfere with capitalism and cost consumers dearly. Hell, even Elon Musk states we should be drilling more.

You don't "transition" to cleaner fuels by artificially raising the price of oil without regard to the huge negative effects on the populace. Well, you do if you're a Dem.
I'm confident the populace will vote many more Republicans in this November to pay Putin back for "Putin's price increase". The idiocy of the Dems never misses a beat.

Bubba
Did you watch the vid?
I admit I don't know what to think
I would be interested in what you found wrong with what he said.
Or what you saw as proRussian in what he said.

Maybe St. Petersburg. I heard this was the last Cargo Ship leaving due to a contract, but that could be wrong. Hard to get good info Sabrehorn!

If the info is correct, which I doubt, a super tanker is likely loaded at
Novorossiysk. The port there has a lot of mafia involvement, and they can add $300-500,000 "fee" to load and release the ship. Putin controls that now, so the "fee" may or may not be applicable. 6-7 years ago a friend of mine in Dubai had to come up with $300,000 (preferably "American bills") at the dock to get his ship released.
