Sessions the new Sacrificial Lamb

I like Sessions, but Trump is raising legitimate questions --

Politifact rated the statement as "Mostly False".

Their summary:
Trump tweeted, "The person in charge of the Hillary investigation, Andrew McCabe, got $700,000 from (Hillary Clinton) for wife!"

This tweet distorts key elements of the story, severely undercutting its accuracy.

A Virginia state candidate married to an FBI official did get donations from a longtime Clinton supporter, McAuliffe, who was also the Democratic governor of Virginia. But the tweet ignores that the spouse played no role in fundraising for his wife’s campaign, and it ignores that that McAuliffe made the donations on his own, for state-level political goals -- not to influence an investigation that Andrew McCabe wasn’t even involved in yet.

Notice how Trump modified his stance on tweet from yesterday? Now he's thrown in "representatives".

I have prev written quite a bit about McCabe -- for example
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Furthermore, McCabe is facing three separate federal inquiries into his behavior-

"Acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe, a central player in the Russia election case, is the focus of three separate federal administrative inquiries into allegations about his behavior as a senior bureau executive, according to documents and interviews.

The allegations being reviewed range from sexual discrimination to improper political activity, the documents show

The inquiries remain open but so far there have not been any adverse findings against the senior FBI executive, who soared though the ranks the last few years to become deputy director and acting director since James Comey was fired.

FBI officials and McCabe declined comment....."

The 3 inquiries into McCabe are --

(1) Former special agent Robyn Gritz filed a sexual discrimination and retaliation complaint naming McCabe (and other top FBI officials)

(2) Gritz also filed a complaint against McCabe with the main federal whistleblower agency in April, alleging Gertz campaigned for his wife’s Virginia state senate race in violation of the Hatch Act. The OSC says that complaint is still being actively investigated.

(3) The Justice Department IG is investigating allegations from Sen Judiciary Committee Chair Charles Grassley that McCabe may not have properly disclosed campaign payments to his wife on his ethics report and should have recused himself from Hillary Clinton's email case.

All three instances cited are peanuts in the scheme of things. If McCabe (and others) are found to have protected a spy ring using government resources, treason is what he ought to be concerned about. As well as Muellar, Comey, and Patreus.

I don't think DT wants JS to resign nor is he on the verge of firing him.

It's clear with the WH shakeup he's tired of taking punches while playing defense and has decided to go on the attack.

DT is a results driven boss and the AG has been ignoring major transgressions (which have been known for months) against the guy who nominated him.

Right or not, he shamed JS publicly to get him to do his job more aggressively and apparently it's working...

Report: Attorney General Sessions to Announce Leak Investigations

Sessions Moves Forward on Trump Agenda, Targeting Sanctuary Cities

So DOJ has two major announcements this week and Congressional Reps are filing to start a wide net investigation into the left's campaign activities.

People are busy bashing DT as a smack talking idiot. Funny how the people and subjects he railed on are now magically being addressed.

That has been the pattern since January 20. Trump tweets something that is deemed as insane or stupid from the left AND right. Then, it turns out he is usually correct in the "rant" he tweeted. I suspect he knows what he is doing in his handling of Sessions. Maybe Sessions won't resign because it would then appear he is a titty baby and the Trump is correct that he isn't investigating the things he should.
