SEC Tournament

Frustrated with the bone-headed turnovers. Loosing the ball on the dribble? That just drives me crazy! I'm surprised that Kimmy didn't put in all her 4-foul stars into the game with less than 2:00 to go. What did she have to lose? Except the game!

Oy, that was a tough watch. Both teams just looked tired, but glad for the W. Also glad I didn’t post mid game that we needed to just bench Rori, she was such a liability on offense, until she saved us with those shots in the 4th.

We’ll have another opportunity to slay the SEC women’s basketball beast tomorrow. That’s all one can ask for. The opportunity. Oh yeah two things. The SEC Championship!
Bring it to Austin and the 40 Acres ladies!!
Horns Up!!

She has been relatively restrained against us this year. As I recall, Vic beat her 2, maybe 3 times when he was an assistant at TAM and the Ags won it all. She knows his teams will be a challenge.

The sequence where Booker lost her shoe and Rori picked it up and the simultaneous exchange of ball and shoe and going down the court and Texas scoring has gotten lots of play and talk about team chemistry on ESPN SportsCenter complete with Rori talking about it in the postgame presser. Between last night and today I’ve lost count of how many hosts have talked about it.

Of course it’s gotten a lot of play with the SEC studio panel at the arena. Kellie Harper said she was going to “watch it in slo-mo about twelve times”.
Thanks for posting, There was a lot of ESPN chatter about this

I hate it when she doesn’t score too, but my god Holle is amazing. She never, ever loses her player. She prevents so many baskets every game. It truly counters the zero bucket nights. I would play her 40 minutes too.
Without a doubt, me too! I was never suggesting that she be pulled...only hoping some scoring is forthcoming. I would like another 16 points, thank you!

While I don't TOTALLY disagree with Clairupt that our offense struggles at times, I'd like to point out that the majority of the games in the conference tournaments have been lower scoring and close. I don't think it's any coincidence that games get tougher to win toward the end of the season. To begin with there's the issue of both physical and mental fatigue. Additionally, there's a lot more film of each team to scout and game plan for. That said, I don't see a whole lot that we're struggling with that most others aren't.
Does this Kurupt person really think Texas will lose or does she/he predict losses just to annoy the rest of us? We've won 31 games this year, so Kurupt has been wrong 31 of 33 chances. Now on Ignore.

I admire the way the team plays late in the game, especially noticeable as the season wore on and in the SEC tournament. LSU was all over our bigs, neither team was successful at put-backs, turnovers, crappy officiating ..., but we just kept on and kept on ... this is what Vic means when he talks about toughness. And the chemistry is apparent - love the shoe pass, which ended with a Shay layup. Really like this team and I hope we win it all.

Just noticed Justice has 8 rebounds (leads all players) to start the 4th Q
She came in the first half and really dominated the boards with 8 before she went out in the 2d. She had more boards than anyone and only played in the first half to get those. That was a big factor in keeping Morrow out that first half for sure.

It is simply not good for our health to have to play again in less than 24 hours. And I am not talking about the players’ health. I’m talking about us fans!!!!!!

I guess it’s too much to ask that we get a well deserved blowout against SC but that is what I really really need. 15 threes, 57 percent shooting and crazy good defense. Darn it. We deserve this.

I didn’t watch the UConn blowout against them. What did they do and can we do that too, please.

While we're wishing, can I have a 100% percent of everything, please? Cardiology results on Monday: if we don't have a blowout win tomorrow, my doc might find damage! :D

Here’s an interesting thing to enjoy.

They made one more shot than us, but we made one more three. Which means we would have lost by one if not for the free throws:

LSU 9/17 (53%)
TX 17/20 (85%)
