I know this board has been down on the chances of Lache landing in Austin, but in this Rivals video posted yesterday he says, "Texas is in" his list of schools. However he also says "I've really haven't been talking to them" and that the reason why he didn't make his visit was because he had to babysit his nephew.

He talks about Auburn, LSU ("Lache Seastrunk University," he says), USC and others as well. The funniest part may be that he said he lost the numbers to the coaches at OU and aggy because he got a new phone. LOL

Anyhow, take this FWIW.

Great link, great interview.

He says in the last comment that he wants his Mom to help make the decision and that this is all still wide open. I believe it is a wide open race between Auburn, Texas, LSU and maybe USC. If his mother plays a role, then we clearly have the advantage as she can help him see thru the hype of the others.

Yes Levander, and Lache benefits from giving bait how? He has already had a few official visits, and he ain't selling recruiting website memberships for his benefit..
 
I would love to see this kid in the burnt orange "doin' his thang" but God bless him and kids just like this who have to go thru this process. Where ever he winds up will be a better program for it, his talent is crazy good.

Lache, Texas is a place just like home. In fact, it is home. Hook'em!

I believe Seastrunk's recruitment is driven moreso by considerations other than where other players will go. If he's the top ranked RB in the country, then his decisions will have a greater impact on the decisions of others than the converse.
 
Sounds to me like LSU and USC on are up on his *** and he likes it, and that Texas is not and he's not sure what to think. I read minds.
 
I have seen no evidence that he is a primadonna or anything close. He canceled a visit to Texas, and says he is apologetic. What if anything would make people compare him to RP?

Does not committing in April make someone arrogant?
 
It sounds (to me) like this guy is a bit reluctant to do all the funny stuff about us (silly stuff like Lache Seastrunk U and all that!). He knows about UT quite well, and he probably knows not to say too much silly things about us. That could be why he doesn't say much and make all UT people feel he is not interested. He could be a 17 year old who stays loose and is trying not to upset anybody. I am sure if UT throws him a party like Auburn did, he would come here and play along with that too .. He probably knows UT doesn't do those things, too.

He has not said anything negative about UT, right? .. I think he hasn't. In fact he just doesn't say a whole lot about UT anymore, that's all; except to always list us among his schools. I get the feeling the recruiting services and all of us are trying to read too much into what this guy says/does.

None of it means that he is coming to UT either. In fact, the high praise he gave for USC is one thing I noticed as troublesome in that video. Somehow that seemed to indicate a bit higher respect for USC than I would have liked

.. Beyond that, nothing new.

The UT fanbase should lay off and not make the guy feel some sort of constant pressure that he would be committing a crime if he desn't come to UT (or feel some odd pressure/guilt that he has made the whole Longhorn Nation feel that he has dumped us already). That type of pressure can also be negative and turn a kid away, making him think that he does not want to deal with such over-reacting and even arrogant-sounding fanbase.

He may come to UT, or he may quite possibly not come as well. Do we really have any eidence to say anything more?

All just my opinions... I may be as wrong as anybody else here

I for one am glad that the season kicks off in 30 days and all this soap opera media coverage about the last half dozen recruits on our list will subside. Good luck to the kid where ever he goes, baggage or no baggage, he has talent and we will see what kind of numbers he puts up in the fall.
