Sark getting mad before Alamo game

Having seen what Sark does in the tunnel just before the team runs out onto the field I’m not surprised that he had an outburst at some “official “ telling him “Settle Down Nah” (old school SNL fans will understand that) then placing hands on him. He’s getting his guys fired up and some guy is tamping down the excitement.

Really?
This is a big deal?
Coach is fired up.
Team is fired up.
Emotions are at a peak and this clown thinks he has the right to put his hands on Sark and push him back?
If Sark was a woman the guy would be charged with assault. :D
Glad to see Sark has some fire.
Nothing to see here.
Keep on moving.
Houston can give any city in this state (including San Antonio) a run for the $ on where the best Mexican food is.

What Sark did was dumb, but that’s nothing compared to things Woody Hayes did, and he’s in the hall of fame. Supposedly Bob McKay was also something of a horse’s rear end, and I think he has 3 national championships and is in the hall of fame.

A minor error here. A cheap traffic ticket, not a felony. Be better next time. That’s all.
John McKay. Bob McKay was an All-American Tackle on the ‘69 Nat’l Championship team and a perennial NFL All-Pro

It was a stern response that lasted all of about 2 seconds.
I wouldn't call that a tantrum.

The ref stepped in and chilled him.

Shouldn't have happened that way.

I've posted he has documented problems and it affects the bottom line / wins & losses. Maybe some day he'll prove me wrong but I doubt it. He's not a winner, but most here has a man crush on a coach with a very mediocre record at major programs. We're TEXAS restarts when we dump him

You know I love ya, but Texas may never be Texas again. We are so far behind everyone, including TCU. The future is bleak no matter who is the HC.

Can't argue. Hurts, but in my lifetime I don't see it happening given those calling the shots

Even tho my folks moved to ftw from Dallas when I was 12 I could never pull for the frogs, never considered going there. Now I look at that program with wonder + respect. Whoda thunk they'd be where they are

And where we're stuck

Yep, a reason I became a Texas fan growing up in FW, besides, to me, naturally pulling for Texas every year in the Texas-OU game, was the fact that TCU was a doormat every year. Some success with Wacker and TCUUUUNNNBEEEELIIEEVVABLE!!! But, that was about it.

While I don’t like the behavior Sark demonstrated, my confidence in him and the program is very high. They will win the CFP in no more than three years, and possibly sooner. There is simply too much talent being amassed for that not to happen.

Complete Psy Ops piece from ESPN. Create a story, then run the negative past in the hit piece. Complete BS. F ESPN.

Premeditated.
ESPN has gone from something special to giant mess.
ESPN spent most of the last week explaining why TCU shouldn't even be in the playoffs and several years back didn't think UT deserved to play USC. No one demanded ESPN fire all their "reporters" and find someone with football knowledge.

Hey now, they hired Beth Mowins, the greatest football expert alive today!!

There’s a guy that I watch on TikTok (yes, I’m addicted), Rico1128, who is “extremely knowledgeable” about college football. He has what I would term a PhD in “Portal,” or so it seems.

Getting to the point, he made the observation recently that the SEC was nothing special until ESPN took over the rights to their telecasts 15-20 years ago and started hyping the league to build their audience. By doing so, kids started wanting to play in the SEC because “it is the best league,” a created narrative for financial reasons.

He provides multiple examples to substantiate his assertion. One that hits the nail on the head is the observation that, until recently, the SEC had almost no decent quarterbacks, and almost none that were of interest to the NFL. Think about that. I agree with him. The narrative that has been created.

I’ll link one of two of his videos when I find them again. He posts videos almost daily. Mostly portal updates.

I love your optimism Dukesteer, or did the New Years libations hit you early last night?

And he didn't credit me for saying the same thing 10 years ago?

I think we’ve all known that the SEC performance hasn’t equaled the hype/narrative. But Rico’s point — that the prospects have bought into the narrative — is sad but true. So they have been getting a disproportionate percentage of the talent.
