Top 2 right now tied 1-1. Horns got a run in bottom of first on Payton RBI single as he continues his hot hitting from yesterday. Sac State tied it up in top 2nd and has two on with two out.
Thornhill gives up 1 out single in fourth, gets a fly out and then is pulled for Cox after having pitched 3 and 2/3. He gave up 4 runs (3 earned) on 6 hits and is responsible for runner on first.
Payton reaches on throwing error to start bottom of fourth. Carter hits into fielders choice and is then picked off first in running error. Felts then K's to end fourth for Horns, still down 4-1.

steal attempt Felts makes a perfect throw. It would
have been the third out, but the runner kicks the ball
out of Weis's glove. Then a single scores him.
Hinojosa gets a lead off single but McElroy flies out and Hall grounds out for two quick outs. Moynihan gets an infield single but with runners on the corners Stell grounds out to end inning. 7 full done and Horns trail 5-2.
This game is so remeniscent of last year it is sickening. A team Texas should be ringing up is instead about to put an ugly early season home loss on the Horns.
Duke came on to pitch 8th for Horns and gave up a 1 out single but otherwise worked his way through inning with no damage. Bottom 8 and Horns better wake up down 5-2.
