Rush's Syndicator Suspends National Ads

When did Newsmax become a reliable source?

At this point I see only a pissing contest from both the right and the left promoting media sources friendly to their side. I'd wager neither side can lay sole claim to the facts.

Rush will be the winner as more people listen to his show to hear what he has to say next. Advertisers will flock to his even more popular show, advertising rates will increase, and RL will grow richer. For someone like RL, the old maxim of there being no bad publicity holds true. And he has the libs to thank for it. Classic.

I've listended to Rush's show a couple times in the last few days and I've noticed virtually zero difference in his advertising. I think the issue of sponsors dropping is more of a local matter than national. If one locoal sponsor were to drop out in every local market he's in, you could make it sound like a really huge number. Media Matters is an effing joke and linking anything from that outfit is quite silly. They're just a branck of the Obama Administration at this point.

"I cant help notice those of you waving the pom pom's were the first to defend the dixie chicks in their dust up."

The difference is a woman talking about a pos on the one hand and a pos talking about a woman on the other.

One is acceptable; the other not.

One thing that is certain is that it is nowhere near the comments Bill Maher made about Sarah Palin repeatedly and without apology.

Maher ups the ante - too disgusting to quote it

Even your own guy, Obama, said of Rush's comments that there are certain words and ideas that "we can all agree do not belong in civil discourse". Did Obama also include someone who may well be a comedian, but is considered enough of an "expert" to get invited onto CNN, MSNBC and other news outlets?

You guys claim we're defending Rush, and yet I've seen maybe one or two people who thought his comment was appropriate. But when Bill Maher says it and we point it out, the responses are "it's OK because he's a comedian or because these people are public figures."

So come clean - is it now appropriate for a news personality (i.e. Rush, Maher, Malloy, Matthews) to say anything they want about a public figure? Is the determining factor strictly whether the subject is a public or private figure, or is it linked to the content of the statement and the vileness of the attack?

DEFINE: SLUT
Slut or slattern is a term applied to an individual who is considered to have loose sexual morals or who is sexually promiscuous.

Maybe he knows Fluke better than we do? For a single woman at a prestigious college this sounds like a reasonable label for some attention seeking students.

Based on her testimony one could argue that her sexual morality is "loose." However I do have to admit that after watching the video we can probably rule out the promiscuity claim unless excessive alcohol is involved.

Eh, most of that was tongue in cheek.
Like many on here I think it was his right to say what he said. However I also believe the right of speech is guaranteed but not immune to consequences. If advertiser want to pull their support that is their right. The only ridiculous issue was the media acting like Rush is the first person to say a naughty word or be mean to another person for dramatic effect.

By looking at her, I'd be willing to bet a fair sum of money that Fluke doesn't even need birth control. (unless you can get pregnant from scissoring

). She's nothing less than an activist and a true believer, doing what she can to support the liberal team.

Call me shallow, but I have a talent for picking out liberals and lesbians by looks alone. When I'm flipping through channels and come across a news program with politicians or pundits on that I don't know, I guess right about 90% of the time before I've heard a word.

Fluke appears to be both, so...

Left you should be fired for that comment. I think all of your advertising supporters should boycott your posts immediately. How insensitive.
