Riots in Minneapolis

The Dems want to take our guns away, defund/disband the police, AND open our borders to any and all that want to come into our country illegally. The Dem royalty like Pelosi, Kerry, Obama, and the Kennedys don't care because they have walled compounds and own retreats in places like Martha's Vineyard. They send their kids to private schools. But, I don't understand why the Dem proletariat like these crazy ideas. They can't all be misguided young idealists that are still living in Mama's basement?

Now the Left is scrambling (with the help of their media and professor plants) to talk back "defunding the police":

The ‘defund’ conundrum
Advocates for police reform are making the case that the phrase “defund the police” doesn’t mean what many people think it means. “Be not afraid,” Christy E. Lopez, a Georgetown University law professor, wrote in The Washington Post. “‘Defunding the police’ is not as scary (or even as radical) as it sounds.”

What it actually means, these advocates say, is reducing police budgets and no longer asking officers to do many jobs that they often don’t even want to do: resolving family and school disputes, moving homeless people into shelters and so on. Instead, funding for education, health care and other social services would increase. The challenge for advocates is that many people equate “defunding” with a major reduction in policing — and they don’t like that idea.

They will now use ridicule and "intellectual" intimidation to change what has happened. We know what they want. They want to abolish enforcement. We know they want to abolish ICE. This is no different.

Just watch the media breathlessly cover for it because they know Trump will capitalize on the anarchy and lawlessness projected by Left-wing haters.

After Police Reform, Crime Falls In Camden, New Jersey - CityLab

Good policing brought down police violence and crime.

And the crime rate fell.
Think you guys better look at that story a bit closer. Not what it seems....and certainly not what the city council of Minneapolis has in mind at the moment. You know how I know? Because she...that woman...said it. She said they dont know what they'll do, but they'll come up with something!

Yeah, I don't get the intellectual smugness of this. A supposedly intelligent and "educated" person uses the wrong verbiage to describe his agenda, and he thinks people are dumb, because they took him at his word.

That's just the way they are. My Dad was a Ph. D. and GOD LOVE HIM (RIP) but he had that intellectual wall up in debates with friends. He would pull his credentials card out all the time.

This type of Liberal "intellectual" is the delusion of progressiveness. OR it's a front that never sleeps. There is a by any means necessary ruthlessness going on and in their mind, the rest of us saps are either children that just don't get it so they cut corners as we do with our children or they just don't care about their lies because nobody will call them out on it other than "Trumpers" which is a term to not only marginalize dissent but to identify those they'd like to single out like the Nazi's did the Jews (making them wear a Star of David in public).

Low rent **** lickers. Vandalizing a children's hospital. I guess kids with cancer killed some drug addict scumbag in Minnesota. It wouldn't have bothered me one bit if every one of those lowlifes were mowed down with a machine gun.
It was downtown Houston according to one of the posters, not the hospital. Regardless. I wonder if someone in the connector above was giving them the finger.

These are the same people who made up 14 versions of gender, or whatever.

This is another opportunity for the civilized world to move forward in the right way. Do not view it as a fad or a way to virtue signal. Do not make decisions based upon intimidation. What's right is right. It's easy to quietly adjust your way of thinking and begin to live life as we were taught: loving thy neighbor.

Jesus said pray in the closet. He also mocked those who loudly prayed in public. There are no declarations or signs that you must carry to be righteous in your heart and in your actions. To march in protest is an American legacy and tool for change. But the parades will soon be over, just like the impeachment, just like the virus headlines, just like 9/11, just like the Russian collusion investigation, just like all the wars, just like all the horrors of life... just like everything. When it is over it will be you and your way of living.

Soon it will be your chance to decide when the emotion is gone. And what you decide is when the real action begins.

I heard some well-intentioned person say the other day, "I don't know who to believe anymore."
I said, "Well, let's see..you have a great big faction of people in this country telling you one version of reality who believe in ends justify the means, moral relativity, and relative truth, so....."

I'm trying to figure out which big faction you're referencing. And, I think that's our problem.

Lol...I know what you mean. It is annoying, right...for both of us regardless of perspective.
So many things you can say these days people on both "sides" of the issue immediately start shaking their heads like, right on you tell 'em. Like, "Marxists" or "Nazi" or "power hungry traitors."
I personally believe there is a truth. But, alas, how can one prove it to another?
My older son asked me about truth and I tell him a story of a well down a winding path in a forest. Away from this place some distance a group is thirsty. A man who has been at the water source comes up out of the woods and reports of the beauty surrounding, the cool breeze, and delicious, fresh water aplenty. Now a man can look around and speculate, doubt, scoff, pray, procrastinate, or ridicule. A wise man can go down the path earnestly, check it out for himself, and, drink deep from the Spring and know.

But, Bubba....I think you know who holds to those philosophies I noted in my post.
I, for one, believe the opposite of those things. I've tasted and seen.
Come to the well, Bubba...Come and drink freely!! ;)

The virtue signaling is stupid, but to be fair, they've offered a bill. Some of it is crap, but some of it is sensible. Ultimately, police regulation is mostly a state and local issue.

This is the thing. Racism and discrimination is literally against federal law and we have programs like affirmative action specifically designed to promote Blacks over Whites.

We literally have institutionalized Black favoritism in this country.

Don't worry. Insurance will cover it. And besides, it probably represents 400 years of systemic racism somehow.

But the race hustlers have convinced blacks every white hates them and conspires to keep them down

You always reply to my posts and similar posts about you as: "funny" but you never respond with an honest and coherent answer.... I find that funny.
That user is incapable of any manner of rational thought...that has been demonstrated time and again by the basement-dwelling practice of just copying links to material that they neither read nor comprehend. They are incapable of any manner of cogent analysis. If they truly did attend the 40 Acres, my guess is that, post-graduation, they have given about as much money as they have donated to continuing to maintain this space...which is to say- NOT A DIME!

Federal oversight is NOT the answer and does little more than siphon even more from the budget in the name of creating offices that won't accomplish a damned thing. There is no reason why States don't collaborate and interface with each other, not unlike the Drivers License Compacts, but those are issues between the States, not some added level of federal bureaucracy.

Sounds like some of that kool-aid that could be tainted.

St. Joseph's Hospital is in downtown Houston. I used to work down there. That's the hospital they are throwing rocks at.
