Ringers is Closed

Ringers was overpriced, but if you people didn't keep going in there and buying the overpriced food regardless, it wouldn't have been.

Definitely not a meaningful loss anyway as Pluckers and Legends are still around.

Count me as a fan of Ringers.

Yes, it would get slammed for any big event, even regular season NFL Sundays...and yes, the waitresses could be hit or miss...

But the first time I went in there was during the MSU/Kentucky/Duke/Utah Sweet 16 weekend in Austin. We watched the Saturday games there. We got there around noon, and there was already a wait for the place, because Kentucky-fan had jammed the joint to root against Louisville.

Finally we get a table over by the front. We stayed there all freaking day, eating and drinking and having a great time.

Later on in the day (during that Illinois-Arizona classic) the manager comes over to us, asks us how we're doing, and tells us that a handicapped patron just showed up, and ours is the only table he can easily access. So would we mind moving?

Before we could even say yes, he then threw in the offer of a free tab for the rest of the night.

So...count me as a fan of Ringers. RIP
