OMG! I almost went West Mall. Good thing I did not do it because Dion's DOG HOUSE is not fun!Linc gets what he HAD in Norman, the easiest route to the playoffs. SEC offers him a schedule of aTm, Texas, Arkansas every year along with rotating LSU, Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, & Florida. Much more difficult than beating Oregon and occasionally Stanford and/or Washington.
He will pay California taxes unless he can get a tax shelter paid offshore or to a Nevada LLC that uses Mexican accounting.
I wonder what Ewers is thinking just about now…
Better surroundings, no Sooner football monster that has to feed the self worth of Okies, better alumni base, better quality of life, glamor school, higher academics, many high school player recruits suited to his offense and better chance of a shot at the big game against the PAC competition than that of the SEC.Linc gets what he HAD in Norman, the easiest route to the playoffs. 1) Do I really want to live in a dorm with burglar bars?
2) The only safe place to drink beer in the area is under a freeway exit?
3) Am I expected to think that 85 year old security guard on Figueroa with no gun is going to protect me from the drivebys?
I guess USC wasn’t interested in Sark? Oh wait….
(It’s a joke people…Just a joke)
I’ve lived in SoCal since 1977. Been to that area (So LA) only once, when Texas played there a few years ago. (Have a picture with one of your favorite — HaHa — liberal school presidents to prove it.) You’re right on. Bad area. But that doesn’t deter recruits.1) Do I really want to live in a dorm with burglar bars?

IMO it's an opportunity for him to define and create his own football legacy, while being paid more than handsomely, and enjoy arguably the best quality of life in the U.S. Is Riley married? If so, me thinks the Mrs. may have weighed in on this decision.I'm puzzled why Riley would leave what looks to be a pretty comfy position in Norman. Does he see an easier road at SC? Perhaps he's intrigued at the rebuild opportunity. Less competition in Pac 10? As someone said, tired of Norman? Is my answer in here somewhere?
I have never even considered that our head coach (whoever it is) would ever consider leaving for another opportunity.
If not, my wife, daughters and all of their acquaintances could.I'm sure the real estate agent in Orange County helped her become acquainted with South Coast Plaza.
56 percent. He must have really gotten tired of Norman because Cali is gonna take a bunch of his money in taxes.
SabreHorn, my wife and everybody else in my family knows that place like the back of their hand. I avoid it like the plague. I think I’ve been there once in the last 20 years although from 79 to 89 I lived just across the freeway. Long story short, I am unable to answer your question.Duke,
Is that malt shop/burger place still in the garage there? I liked their food. I had seen Minnie Driver on TV and movies and always thought she was about 5'2". I opened the door for her there and discovered she's about 6'.
I was an xtra in a movie.Crockett,
Walkon actors get paid very well to be "an extra" in movies & TV shows. It's by the day, and you can be paid to sit and wait for your "walkon". It was nearly $300/day fifty years ago. No idea what it is now, but rest assured, lots of players "walking on" movie sets.
I was an xtra in a movie.
I only got paid $75.00. I was in two scenes. No it was not the romance scenes with the wife. Dennis Quaid got that opportunity.
"THE ROOKIE"
I was in the stands about the middle of the screen about the middle of the movie.
I decided being a delivery driver was more lucrative so i quit acting.![]()
And it isn't anywhere close to the USC campus. LR would benefit from a helicopter to get to work if they live in OC.If not, my wife, daughters and all of their acquaintances could.
BTW — and this is simply an observation, not a judgment — more than 50% of the traffic at South Coast Plaza is now Asian. Many of the clerks are Asian. If you didn’t know better, you might think that you were shopping in Seoul or Tokyo.
I'm surprised it took that long to get tired of Norman - you can easily get tired of Norman just driving through on I-35.really gotten tired of Norman
There aren't many good choices. Best parts of Orange County are pretty far south. East of USC? Not only no but...West and northwest the cost are high...Reference an earlier post, a helicopter may be required.I know the distance and freeway system, but I thought everyone at USC lived in Orange County
