Revisiting the Texag.com soothsayers

I love the score predictions from the Ag's...42-6, 52-10, and 42-10...Did they forget that they were playing Texas at DKR? I guess so. Not to mention, we scored more than 10 in all of our games this year, and have one of the best scoring offenses in the game (#8 in the nation by my count). For those keeping score at home, A&M is 46th.

The only time they put up 40 or more points this year was against Wyoming and UTEP at Collie Station. Even against mediocre Texas teams (in the past), they could not score 40 points. Hell, the last time they hung 40 on us was in 1985. That is the year the “Miami Vice” soundtrack hit #1. The Ag’s would have to dust off their Wham! albums to remember that one. The Link Hahahaha...

In contrast, the only team to score 40 or more on them this year was wearing Burnt Orange.

Also, I wonder when the Ag's will ditch the Wrecking Crew moniker - hell, nearly half the Big 12 has a better defense. The only defensive statistical category the Ag's beat us in was Scoring D (they are #10, we are #11), but in a head-to-head match up, we all know what happened.

I love this post! Truly classic!

Great post!

Just to add injury to insult, now they face the prospect of losing to Miss. State. Can't root for either one; wish they both would lose. For the ags, it will be like looking at themselves in the mirror. That ought to confuse 'em.

"The MOST pathetic thing anyone can do on this forum is to question another Aggie's "Aggieness". I think you're a f##king idiot, but I don't doubt that you're an Aggie."

Pongo,

I guess we'll never know whether WinAgs was right about the Aggies inflicting pain on Roy since, in order to inflict pain, one must first be able to catch one's opponent.

Where are we going? And what's with this handbasket?

Sure, if we had lost this one, we could all be eating crow right now. But is it just me or are most ags just bad judges of talent on the field? Do they seriously think that their WRs are better? Deeper? More talented?

Would any of us make those same mistakes as often? I doubt it. I would put the top posters on this board up against theirs any day.

this is truely a classic. the only thing missing was a quote from WinAgs. here is one of his quotes that someone posted on texags:

"Davis will cover Willaims mano to mano, with Kiel waiting to apply the hit that will show the nation that Williams cant not and will not play when pain is invloved.

BJ will meet another true name Buhl who can and will match him step for step. You guys were so wrapped up in your overhyped team you failed to notice these so called sleepers.
Sloan will be covered by Sean Weston and that is a fair matchup.

Jammar tries to jam Ferguson and he is toast. Our BJ will rule the day as well as another sleeper named Porter.

That is why I am going to truly enjoy this *** whipping. Your arrogant ******** have had your mouth running for 2 yrs and still....NOTHING"

"I think a few might...I dont think they should. We should handle ourselves like the winners we are and not throw it in there face. No matter how bad we beat them, they will never understand we do it for their own good.

COLD REALITY"

The "Face it, tu fans don't know squat about football" comment from '13 0 Branding Iron' is hysterical.

Thanks for making me sound like an idiot, alone, laughing in my cube...

Priceless. Thanks guys.

I paticularly enjoyed this thread because I spent the days following the T+1 agg-kicking in the sunny Caribbean and didn't get to partake of the monstrous laugh at their expense.

I'm doing so now.

According to Henry Gandorf over on Texags, WinAgs doesn't pay off when he loses bets, either.

This guy has no future, especially at Texas. I pray everyday that he starts against us. I hate to say it but Applewhite is something else. I have afeeling all those reports about how well Simms did in spring ball were b/c the coaches told the DB's not to cover the guys well so Simms could feel like he's the ****.

Muy (5:08 PM, 10/8/00) :

Why does anybody care what he does?

Based on everything I've seen, he doesn't have any marketability anymore. He should have transferred well before he ever hit the field, and would have been more marketable on media hype alone.

At this point, BUST is about the only word that comes to my mind.

If this BS took place in Aggieland (which it won't because RC doesn't startcertain players to prove that he can), I would be livid that this whole circus had driving our season into the ground.

Great job Mack. You've done an excellent job.

anyway Simms looks at it he will only have one year to start. He can stayat t.u. and be majors back up or he can transfer and sit out a year andthen have one year of eligibility left. Keep praying that mack starts Simmsagainst us this year.

The Trahans are on the losing side again; but on the upside Beau will be sure toplay when the Wrecking Crew knocks Chrissy out of the game.

That's the next best way to get on the same field with the Texas A&M team.

I know we should be concentrating on the Ducks, but can't we keep this classic post at the top for a little while longer?

I'll re-read it every monday when I'm bummed about being at work. This always brings a smile to my face.

TAMU Aggie Football: When Mediocrity Slaps You in the Face

Mississippi State doesn’t flash Top 10 credentials, but neither does A&M. The Aggies were the Big 12’s sixth bowl selection for a reason, going 7-4 and losing their last two games.

“A&M’s history in bowl games hasn’t been good,” Aggie safety Michael Jameson said.

“My record has not been good in bowl games,” Slocum said.

“I haven’t won a bowl game since I’ve been here,” Taylor said

"I’ve been here since 1996, and we haven’t won a bowl game,” senior guard Chris Valletta said.

That leaves the Independence Bowl, a game fans have poked fun at since it was named for a lawn tool.

The Independence Bowl wouldn’t normally qualify as a biggie for A&M, but this year it does.

UTdoa,
*very* effective work. since i think this thread is destined for the classics, you might consider editing the following however (the only flaw i saw in an otherwise impeccable post):

AgSpeak
“ If Simms starts, he will be thoroughly confused by the schemes Hank & RC will devise.”
-Trader Ag 96
REALITY
“They played a different coverage then we have seen them play all year,” Farris said of the play. “It was impossible to see that guy, and he made a good play.”
–The B/CS Eagle

Brown's pick really doesn't serve to refute the quote regarding Simms (although other evidence does ) I wouldn't put these two in collocation. But I'm quibbling; overall, this was very fine work.

I agree with CraigHorn, 8-8, 234yds, 3td's in one quarter alone! If you ask me that's some serious confusion folks! I must say that I like aggie wisdom though, even after we took them to the woodshed they still take robert"pooooor me I'm hurt"ferguson over any the BIG 3. I hope they recruit with that same mentality..
