Release The Memo

Interesting read. http://www.stonekettle.com/

He's a retired navy intelligence officer.

That's more rabbit hole stuff. In all likely hood, Nunes and his staff simply cherry picked information to paint the FBI in a negative light to protect Trump. Last time the idiot was forced into recusing but not recusing himself from the Russia meddling investigation. This time more members of his party are standing with him. Clearly they don't think the fallout for themselves will be as bad.

At 4 pages, this "memo" won't be any official document but rather simply a bunch of accusations with footnotes. It was produced by Nunes...no other congressional member. Part of me suspects that his cohorts simply want to hand him the noose to end his political career. At least, that's my hope.

You're right about the writing. Of interest to me was that it almost has to be part of no official "intelligence" operation. Ironically, Nunes is actually degreed in bullcrap with his degrees in agriculture. He hasn't familiarized himself with A) spycraft or B) how to actually recuse oneself.

The DOJ IG is also investigating the FBI. Report to come out in Feb. Conclusions are probably the same.

You haven't needed vetted evidence to believe in any of these anti-Trump stories. Most of these start with "according to anonymous sources";)

Which ones? Like that he tried to fire Mueller? Multiple sources, including FoxNews, have reported that. Which "anti-Trump" stories?

I'll accept the IG report. At least they don't have an obvious political agenda. I suspect their report will be more than 4 pages and be more thoroughly researched.

One of my twitter follows who is a homosexual Dem pointed out the irony of the Dems getting both the NFL and the Boy Scouts in "the divorce". I guess he can add the FBI to that.

Remember all of those anti-Trump stories by the Washington Post before Comey testified that I told you were false and you said they were true? Comey then testified and shot down all of them.

Here's the thing. I can't win because you'll always point to the exception to say remember that 1 time you were wrong invalidating the 10 times you were right? You only need to be right once to be validated by the alt-right fans because there is never any introspection. So, you'll neglect the HRC neurological disorder, pizzagate, pedaphilia and in the future the "deep state" conspiracies strutting around like there weren't many on this board strutting around with their *** hanging out in the wind.

Strassel is pretty bright and a good writer.
I think she also might have been a NeverTrumper, like much of the WSJ

WTF? LOL! Spin away, my friend. Spin away. You called me a conspiracy theorist for not believing Hillary and her team. However, you're free to not believe Trump and his team on anything. Just as Prodigalhorn said you libs use that "conspiracy theorist" **** to try to shut down conservatives who question your team. As long as you keep pulling that crap I'm going to be an *** toward you. Edit- It'd probably be best if I block you because we're not going to get along it seems.

Rep. Steve King calls it "worse than Watergate".

This has turned out to be that Watergate is just a small fraction of what we are currently witnessing.

Are you intentionally being dishonest? 1) Fox didn't report that. 2) Trump asked a question what if dishonest Mueller were to get fired. That's what
Fox reported. 3) Trump tried to fire Mueller? If Trump wanted him fired, He would already be fire. So there's no attempt like you stated to "try" to fire him. 4) I don't give a damn about the Optics of firing Mueller. At some point for the sake of America, someone needs to not care how it looks and do the right thing and fire Mueller along with the FBI heads that have now be proven with criminal activity. THERE HAS TO BE CONSEQUENCES!!! If not, we are no different with our laws than a banana republic country.

House Intel committee votes to Release The Memo. It's up to WH now. They have 5 days to do it. I can't imagine that they won't release it after the State of the Union Address. Probably on Thursday-Friday timeline.

McCabe resigns. He was up to his neck in it. No surprise there.

The Dem Leader is a babbling brook of confusion
And she apparently thinks we have an intel agency called the DNA

Democrats, generally, seem to be in a confused and panicked state about the release of the memo
One of their few cogent arguments I have seen is that releasing the House Intel report might damage national security

OK, but then how does illegally leaking FISA information to the NYT not similarly damage national security? They cheered this series of leaks

She's off her rocker. After the announced immigration proposal from Trump a week or two ago, she ranted that he was trying to "turn the country white again". News flash Nancy, the country is still predominantly white for a few more years.

On of the things in the FISA memo is an allegation that Christopher Steele lied to FBI affiants who swore out affidavit(s) for the FISA warrant(s) on Carter Page. Steele told them he had not shared the dossier info included in the application with media. Was a lie.
This is why Sen Grassley made a criminal referral on Steele for making false statements to FBI.

Another item in the memo regards Comey.
He swore under oath he only spoke with Obama twice -- once in 2015 and another in late 2016 "to say goodbye."
This was apparently untrue. Comey was actually giving Obama regular updates during the campaign about one of the investigations.
The latest batch of FBI released texts show that in the Fall of 2016, Comey was "updating" Obama about an "investigation."
It is hard to tell if this was about the Hillary probe or Trump probe.
But, in any event, it is evidence showing Obama was indeed directly involved in the investigation of candidates
