Nice going, guys - I wasn't able to watch, but I did get a late update from the 8th inning. But Mrs. HHD and I are going tonight. If I can get away from the office, I may take a couple of hours of vacation and get to The Ballpark early. I suspect this could be a pretty big crowd tonight...and hopefully we can make enough noise to drown out the Yankee fans!

Also, I can't believe nobody has mentioned how chicken **** it was to hit Josh Hamilton late in the game. CJ sucks and everyone knows that. he didn't hit a-rod on purpose and i thought that was bush league but then again i'm a little biased and not willing to give an inch on all things yankee

^Rico, I'll be watching this with some interest tonight. As I mentioned, I didn't get to watch last night, so I didn't know about the beanball war until I was discussing the game with my friend at work this morning. If there is any carryover from last night, it will certainly show up with Ponson on the mound - and I'm pretty sure he has no love lost for the Rangers, anyway. Let's see if the umpire warns both benches before the game starts.

To be fair we did hit A-hole twice that night. It was still bush league though since both incidents were clearly on accident.

Hi, All, Mrs. HHD and I just got back form The Ballpark. Sorry, I apparently (a) didn't cheer well enough and (b) misbrewed the offensive mojo recipe tonight. OTOH, I was very impressed with Madrigal - he is coming along well and has some good potential as a key part of the bullpen. Hunter battled quite well - making his second start, one year out of college, and against the Yankees.

I sincerely hope the Commissioner's office reviews the tapes of this series and fires some umpires! The officiating has been disastrous this series.

Feldman and Mussina tomorrow night. Would be very nice to win three of four from the Yankoids. Someone else will have to be in charge of the mojo tomorrow - Thursday night is my night to teach and direct at our bridge club, so I won't be able to watch.

i think my friend and i will be going up to the game tonight. was gonna try and get some seats in the right field home run porch area but it appears i can't buy sets of two now online. lower 3rd deck it looks like. haha ooh well. we'll see what we can do.

^sblazer, see if they can get you seats low in Section 330 or so. That's where my tickets are, and they're terrific -

-view of everything in The Ballpark except a small portion of the right field foul line hidden by the stands
-in the shade
-excellent perspective of the infield
-very reasonable prices

Top of the order sucked *** the last 2 games. Man, Kinsler and Young have looked terrible. Glad these umps are leaving town. Mussina is good enough without giving him an extra 6-10" on either side of the plate. Tough loss for Feldman b/c he pitched good enough to win.

game was a little disappointing. we ate at sherlocks before the game and took the shuttle to the ballpark. got there in the 2nd inning due to the slowness of the shuttle and waiting in line. sat in section 245 right behind the right field foul pole for a couple innings then moved over a couple of sections to 241. rangers definitely had chances to score runs but couldnt come away with any clutch 2 out hits. the laird DP really hurt as anything else woulda tied the score at 1-1. ooh well such is the game of baseball. here's to a good series with the O's this weekend.
