Rangers - Yankees series

This should be a fun series to watch tonight. Padilla should of started off the first with no runs, but the ump called an obvious strike down the middle a ball which led to Giambi driving in the first run of the game.

My over/under on how many runs the Rangers give up in the series is 25, just because we got a new pitching coach.

Edit: I'll take over.

Sweet jesus. That call was brutal. Especially with Joba pitching. Runs are going to be at a premium

A-Rod tried to call time, on the replay all he did was say "time". Made no hand gesture, didn't step out of the box, and it didn't appear that he said "time" that loud. Doubt the ump heard him, so no time was actually allowed.

Sometimes people just think the world revolves around them even when calling time...

Anyone figure out why they ruled that a foul ball for Kinsler? Could be huge impact on the game if Laird, Young or Hamilton come through.

Genco, I think the HP Ump had to rule that the ball hit Kinsler in foul territory...and it was close enough to believe that. Kinsler definitely sold it.

F Yankee

Sucks to see Joba get hurt. While i've said what I've said about him, he's a damn good pitcher with dirty stuff and you don't want to see anyone get hurt.

Giambi getting cheap *** hits. Step the **** up Vicente.

**** Joba. He couldn't believe he was getting lit up. Heat probably got to him. Maybe dehydrated. Padilla with nasty stuff to nail the 6th.

i smell some bottom of 9th magic right here!!! leadoff man on. bradly takes a walk from being down 0-2. good at bat.

hamilton with two nice catches this game. one in the top of the 9th to keep the score tied.

no better way to start the series...give those ******** a little bit of Rangers Power. Joba hasn't been hit that hard as a starter and then clean their clocks in the 9th. Thank god they walked the slumping Josh in the 9th so that Byrd got to bat.

Amen to that. Marlon can be frustrating to watch at times, but man he always brings fire and energy and seems to love playing. Couldn't of happened to a better person!

I didn't feel good last night and I was really tired also, so I went to bed after 8.

You guys can thank me. I brought the magic when I went to bed.

Shows you how intent I was on watching Channel 27 last night - I did not even log on to Hornfans to see if there was a thread ongoing...

We definitely have a very good batch of mojo
brewed up now, WorsterMan - although I still need to tinker just a bit more with the "pitching" ingredients. But you've got to give Padilla credit for bearing down and getting six tough innings - plus a couple of extra outs given by the home plate umpire. I certainly hope the Commissioner's office reviews the tapes of the game - the balls-and-strikes calls were absolutely awful!

I have tickets for Wednesday evening - Ponson will start for the Yankees. Mrs. HHD and I will be there, yelling our fool heads off for the Rangers.

You guys have got it for tonight - I won't be able to watch. Please cheer hard - the Rangers need at least three of four against the Yanks.

1. i hate the fact we have marlon byrd in the of. right now, i hate myself for hating that. he sucks, but the guy plays the game hard and with a smile. if anything, that's just ******* awesome.

2. joba is a great talent, but we flat out stuck it to his *** and i agree that he might have been shocked to be hit so hard. once again, i hope the injury isn't serious.

3. michael f'n young. broken finger, he hasn't missed a single game. that 3 run HR was 3 rows under my buddies season seats. bastard didn't invite me.

4. i love baseball. last night i had a few cocktails and had to keep hitting pause on the tivo because my 4 mo old daughter couldn't get herself to sleep. under normal conditions when byrd hits that ball out i go ape **** and start dancing around like a fairy. instead i just rocked my daughter to sleep and stood in my living room for 15 minutes with a big **** eating grin on my face.

we must not let this win carry over into today. that was one win. we need to focus on the rest of the series.

go rangers

Uncle Rico, I'm glad to see you have your priorities in order with your daughter.

Besides, sometimes there's nothing better than being able to "cheer inside" while the rest of the house sleeps.
