Random Season News

Watching him run reminds me of Don Parkhurst back in the day. World record was 9.3 and Don ran a 9.4 his junior year at Robert E Lee in Baytown. He came to Texas and Patterson instantly improved his time to 9.7. Don was always a class act and smoked the field like Boling.

Don went own to own and manage Glenco.

So what's the deal with DeMarco Boyd? Is he still on indefinite suspension, off the team, on the team, waiting for a trial date?

Does anyone know if that means he's "cleared" to play by Herman? I don't remember him doing anything in the Spring game... Just asking.

Demarco Boyd was listed on the roster in the fall....at least on the website... he obviously ain’t participating yet

Hmmmmmm. If it's still the same today, then my reading between the lines is he's still on some sort of indefinite suspension (probably until the judicial system works it out).

AP meaningless poll record? Most of the voters have no idea what they are voting for. But like all BS polls, inculding the Heisman Trophy, it will give a—holes like the Sooners a reason to beat their chest as the dominant team.

How about thus little insignificant fact about Texas and OU DURING this poll timeframe. Win/loss record of Texas vs. OU; 40-36-3. Lobbying for votes on an irrelevent polls is nothing but promotional bullsh- -t. Decide it on the field of play.

Don't look at the last 50 years or less, it ain't pretty, except for the Akers years. Fred was 5-4-1 against Barry & Oklahoma; the rest not so great.

40-36-3 doesn't exactly scream dominance. You need to find something else to brag about.
You miss the point. Most Horns do not scream dominance. It is the Sooners with all of their self-promotion that run around screaming dominance.
My point is simple. Before they make a big deal about a bulls- -t ranking over Texas in some worthless poll, check the head to head DURING the span of time for those polls.
If I kick your *** in a bar, don’t start braghing about being tougher than me.

I get your point. It's just that it's a weak one.

In 2000 they won 63-14. In 2003 65-13. There you have it. Proof positive I'm a sooner. Or is it an aggie? It's getting hard to keep up.

Your happy hour probably starts about 5am. As I said to another poster on a different thread meet me in an open forum to talk longhorns football history and I'll humiliate your ***.

I think it would be proper to put a comma after “thread”.
As to history, not sure. I started attending games in 1950. Grew up on the East side and walked to many games. I was on and around that campus a lot of years. But, perhaps you are smarter. I certainly hope so.
Have a great weekend!
