Not sure why NFL gets heat for being a business for profit.

Although they give millions to charity, they themselves are not a charity.
I don’t think people are coming down on them for wanting to make money i think it’s more the excuses they used as to why the profits are falling. I think the protests played a part in it but the majority comes from the way people view television shows now. It is just way too many options for folks to get there hands on content some of which that don’t register ratings. They are not the only ones feeling it so many new subscription based services have came up over the last 2 years and more to follow.

And let’s not forget all the under the table stuff the fire sticks and android boxes and kodi stuff floating around

Yep the NFL and Papa John both need to stop making excuses.
Plenty of reasons why people are losing interest in the NFL and stopped eating ****** pizza, and I don't think people kneeling has nearly as much to do with it as some people wish it did.
I bet ratings will be no better this coming season. And Papa Johns pizza will still suck too.

Don’t forget people have been complaining about the nfl for a while let’s not forget the whole No Fun Leauge

I think papa johns screwed themselves with all that 50 percent off pizza too many rangers 7 cowboys 20 and Texas fights and that’s just in our region I know they do it in other places also

This isn't necessarily news, but...just for fun... I started thinking yesterday about CFB-related storylines to follow this offseason:
Will Tom Herman and UT turn the corner and begin to reestablish Longhorn football as a powerhouse?
How will new Big12 QBs filling big shoes fare this year and what will effect be on teams/league?
Will Georgia emerge as CFBs top dawg?
Will Alabama's new QB live up to the hype and help keep them on top?
How weak will the B1G be and how strong will tOSU be?
New, high profile, coaching impacts - ASU, Tamu, UCLA, Nebraska, FSU et all
Who will the surprise teams be this year?
Heisman trophy watch list (wack I know, but hey)
Will some of the younger coaches start to threaten the older, established winners?
Who will the non-power5 teams climbing the rankings be...and will they ever be given a fair shot at a title?
Random lines present every year: pay for athletes, expanding playoffs, conference realignments

Nate Boyer does us proud as always:

"I'll say this, what most of them died for, you know, is not the right to protest. It's not for patriotism. It's not for the Constitution or the American flag or the national anthem or any of that. What they died for is the man on their left and right. And if we can't live for the man on our left and right back here at home, you know, respectfully, despite our differences, then what in the hell did they die for?"

Building a power base that the educrats can't penetrate, but more importantly don't have any input with.

Every time CdC speaks, I get a little bit happier.
