According to some around here, this is NOT a forum where the words right or left are permissible. You have the right to your opinion, right or wrong.
If you are referring to my comments, sir...you may want to stick around awhile before judging.Everyone? go back and read some of the comments. We have our 10% like every fan group that acts like as..s
I hereby deputize you 6721.Ken Byrd?
How about sponsoring?
Then your snark might look credible.
Longhorn fans and every other fan base. Every group, whether sports fans or races, political, religious or whatever. I think 90% of most people are good people. It's the other 10% that gives the ninety percent a bad reputation. Hope that answers your question. If not be more specific.I am curious about something Ken.
When you say "we", to whom are you referring?
Glad I could entertain you until Football season starts. It is a little dull. LOLKen you have made the morning a little more interesting

OK, so I assume you are counting yourself as a Longhorn fan since the "we" in your quote referred to this board's regulars. I can believe that, because UT has graduates and supporters in all 50 states and most countries around the world.Longhorn fans and every other fan base. I'm sure at times the ten percent may attend games more than the 90%. It may be because the 90% are not coming to the games because they are tired of putting up with the 10% attitudes.Ken,
I'm certainly pleased for you that you have never had to visit or be present for an Ohio State game. I won't even give them 10% as being "not bad"
I have a granddaughter in med school at UTSA. I support wherever she attends. When she was attending University of Alabama I supported them. Now for some fanatics they may find that hard to understand. So be it. And yes 10% of Alabama fans are as.....sOK, so I assume you are counting yourself as a Longhorn fan since the "we" in your quote referred to this board's regulars. Yet it still seems strange a guy from a small town in Alabama would make his first set of posts on this board in response to an Alabama fan, and that those posts are critical of UT fans. It makes me much more skeptical of your use of the word "we", when referring to those of us who are of a burnt orange persuasion.
If you are actually a second Tide fan here to visit, welcome. But you'll probably find a warmer welcome if you clearly identify your allegiance like the original poster did.
Kinda wish we could have a B1G team on the schedule, just so I could roll this out:Ken,

I hear you. My money stopped going to UT when my kids attended other schools. That said, my sports loyalty remains firmly entrenched in Austin.I have a granddaughter in med school at UTSA. OK...Now that we've gotten all the other nonsense out of the way, I'm going to ask you the only question that actually matters here...I have a granddaughter in med school at UTSA. Definitely would have been a more interesting game. Just like if Alabama's receivers hadn't got hurt last year. Ifs and buts. I coached for 25 years and you can NEVER tell what is going to happen.OK...Now that we've gotten all the other nonsense out of the way, I'm going to ask you the only question that actually matters here...
You don't really believe that Bama would have won that game if Colt hadn't gotten hurt on the first drive do you?
Hhmm??

The issue for that garage is getting out due to the surface traffic. My understanding is that the parking on 26th from San Jacinto east to Robert Dedman behind the law school is first come first serve, but you may have to get there at 3 AM.
?also suckit! and hope we have good weather for the game
Sound advice from Worster. Scholz is my pregame go to. Now hit the sponsor button. My .02:
Go early - leave extra time due to early start & you not being familiar with the area...
Traveling North or South on I-35
Exit MLK Blvd. go West - 3 blocks on MLK
Left on San Jacinto go to the 3rd block (1600 block)
On right is a State Parking Garage - public can use on Sat. - approx. $20 to park
Across the street is Scholtz Beer Garden: 1607 San Jacinto St. - Austin, 78701 (for Garmen)
Walk down San Jacinto and it will take you right to the stadium
Scholtz's would be a good place to grab some grub or beer before or after the game.
Try the link: Scholz Garten for more info.
Good luck whatever choice you make!
