I watched game 2 for you about an hour ago. I have to say that you are one lucky guy when it comes to final Jeopardy. Congrats on both wins and the new job. Hopefully you keep on winning.
 
haha, the first day i was very very lucky. the 2nd day, meg bet what she had to bet. as the leader in that scenario, you almost have to assume that 2nd (me) will bet it all, or at least cover the 3rd place bet which wouldve been most of my money. if i were 3rd in that spot, i probably would not have bet much of anything since I would need a triple stumper to win (which is what happened), so I was lucky that 3rd decided to bet big. That's the thing about Jeopardy, there's a lot of luck that plays into it. Who you play against, the categories (13 categories a day is such a minuscule fraction of your total knowledge), the time of day you go on, and betting is a huge amount of luck and bluffing.
 
You have an amazing diversity of facts stored in that brain. Who'd think a Mechanical Engineering dude would know art and literature and then KISS trivia.



As you watch them do you remember what you were feeling at the time?
 
Well, my first semester I took History of Rock as my humanities credit. As for the french art, I was stunned I knew 4 out of 5 of them. I studied it cause it was obviously a weak point for me, so I guess studying helped haha

May I ask what you are up to these days? And are you going to spend the winnings on corrective eye surgery or something else as you mentioned on the show?
 
I'm very impressed! You did very well on the show and we are proud that you are one of us!

It's always been a dream of mine to be on Jeopardy.
 
I'm moving to Houston on Sunday or Monday for temp-like job. It's not engineering or anything I'm interested in, and the pay is awful, but it's in Houston and that's about all it's got going for it. If anybody knows of any aero/mech work or anything quantitative, id be happy to shoot you my resume. And of course, if anybody needs a trivia team mate or softball team mate in the houston area, hit me up.

As for the money, I don't get paid until July. Once I start getting a paycheck though, big screen TV and a a new computer and if I can ever find enough time to do it, Lasik. I'm still in the process of getting my tooth implant so I gotta get that fixed first. Once I get a decent engr job or something that pays better, maybe some flight lessons. I know for sure, that some of the 20k will be saved into a permanent Texas-Okie football ticket fund haha. Thanks for watching everybody
 
Just watched all 3 episodes. You did a great job. Since you were so nervous about revealing your identity to us, I kept thinking to myself who you look like, and that is James from James and the Giant Peach. Minus the red hair and freckles of course.

I hope you will find a full time job soon and hopefully become a pilot as you stated in the show.

The big 12 tourney is on the same stastion here is Dallas so I haven't seen the 3rd show

But I have to tell you how exciting it was to watch you and how proud you made us.
This is what makes HornFans so special. We can enjoy the success of someone we don't know but a Horn is never a stranger.

What you did should reaffirm your confidence. You will do well in life and be able to laugh about delivering pizzas ( not that there is anything wrong with it)
I also predict you will learn how to tie a tie.

My friend Erin is on today. She's the best friend of my fiancee Jennah, who won $40k on the show a few years back. Smart girls.
