Predict AM's 2008 season

1. A&M will not be breaking in a new QB. Repeat Jerrod Johnson will not be the QB, he has "accuracy issues"

2. The running game should be VERY stout: Lane, Goodson, Stephens, Tarrant, and Grey will make for a very, very nice backfield.

3. A&M has the components to be a decent team: Good DL, Good Secondary, GREAT RB's, Decent QB, and components on a OL that barring injury can be decent. Real weakness at WR and LB.

4. A&M has the schedule that works in its favor.

5. The Longhorn team we face this year is arguably the weakest Longhorn team we have faced in 10 years. Im not talking about how good the team will be in '09 Im talking about today.

6. The 2003 A&M team, who was less talented than this years team(barely) gave the Horn's a run for thier money in the 2003 game. That game was not decided until well into the 3rd quarter when Van Zandt fumbled the punt return(story of our life that year, fumbling punt returns...)

My personal opinions:

The 2003 team was one that had been recruited by RC and Tim for 5 years, and the red shirt seniors had been coached by RC for 4 years.

RC and Tim had recruited only 1 db in the prior two years and even walk on linebackers were starting.

The 2003 squad was was so bad that it dropped A&M's NFL drafted players to almost zero fo the next 5 years.

RC was fired just prior to 2003 and the 4 year RC coached red shirt seniors led A&M to 0-77 in 2003.

A&M's current team is loaded at each and every position for the 2008 season despite the athletic departments spinning lies to the contrary to try to protect Sherman and themselves; and there is absolutely no comparison to the 2003 debacle of a team.

12-0, 11-1 is guaranteed based on the talent, maturity and experience level of the A&M team.

Sherman, in his last season as a NFL head coach was 4-12 and he was fired; this is the big unknown and possible disaster in the 12-0, 11-1 A&M season.

Sherman has made 75 offers to recruits so far, 39 of them to 4 and 5 star players, and has only 1 four star and no five star commits. Sherman now has 11 other commits at the lower non bcs level.

Sherman is trying to get in the bottom part of the recruiting 25 by commtting lower level quantity that will continue to let us watch a decade long series of non bcs teams.

A&M a rebuilding and a winning season in 2006, and champs in 2008.
