Pierce ?

Just curious how long Texas will put up with mediocrity from baseball after the storied success of Cliff and Augie. Pierce is not even close to those guys and his record confirms that.
OMAHA!
2nd time in 4 years (and if we are being honest, we were a serious threat to make Omaha in 2020 prior to Covid killing the season).

SN,

Thanks I've never been called a "nattering babob" nor do I know what one is, but in my long life, this is a first

Its always amazed me how they look at there baseball program as elite… Oklahoma has had more national success as well as other schools in the region like Ok St- TCU/ Rice-Texas Tech and many others.

Remember when they got uppity about TCU usurping them? Then TCU kept going to the CWS, the last time eliminating Aggy

My judgment is still out on pierce but he had a great season this year. The kids did respond fairly similarly as in the past in just refusing to lose and it’s always magical to watch. The pitching was outstanding, loved reading miss st.’s board and the fans complaining about how they can’t seem to bring the bats when they face us, duh, great pitching and defense wins championships majority of the time, didn’t work out for us this time but I’m looking for a great season next year, if pierce can’t get into the final four next year it will be a big disappointment.

I'm disappointed if we don't make Omaha, but I don't agree with that. Baseball is a tough game. We saw what happened to Arkansaw. Teams get hot at the right time, your best pitcher can go down, etc. It's just more difficult to predict than football.

Yep. It can be a cruel game.

Get cold for just a few games, you’re out early—-see Arkansas.

Get hot out of nowhere, and you’re the nation’s darling—see NC State.

Gotta like it though.

I guarandarntee ya we won’t see The New Jersey Institute of Technology in the football playoff.

I hear ya but we aint arkansas, we are.......Texas!:hookem:

Today is a good day to be a Longhorn, none of us have always made right call and so today for all the haters is a day for grace to all, lets all just be happy the Horns are in Omaha and as a united fan base lets enjoy what will hopefully be an extended trip.:hookem:

Of the 5 seasons there has been a College World Series contested while David Pierce has been the coach, we have been there 3 times. And the other season we were very much on a path to make it too.

Mediocrity, my skinny white ***. You're just a blind hater, and it is almost a shame you also get to enjoy the fruits of Pierce's labor.
