PAC Champ Game Thread: Oregon-Washington

Washington should knee it twice, punt, let Oregon score, and then score the winning TD on last play of game. Better than to trust their defense.
That “prevent “ matador defense reminds me of a DC I was watching a few weeks ago… guess who.
Fortunately, I think he’s learned better. I sure hope so.

"Live look at the committee watching their beloved Oregon Ducks go down tonight"

Since the Committee had Washington rated above Oregon, this is how they would expect the game to come out. (And the Committee certainly beat the oddsmakers' prediction)

well I know we need a Louisville win.
or
perhaps a Georgia loss
or
a miraculous Iowa win
Now thinking a Bama win puts Texas in too. If Bama wins, they likely need FSU to lose more than Texas does.

Look at it this way, If Georgia loses then we end up in a three-way tie with Alabama and Georgia. How do you sort that out? I don’t want to be in that situation. If Georgia wins then Alabama is eliminated - like Oregon. We want teams to get a second loss if possible.

Oregon wore a bad costume tonight. They should fire their wardrobe man. Wasn’t their best look and their play showed it. ….lol.

I hear you but assuming FSU loses, they won’t put both SEC teams in over Texas. It will be Texas and Bama if FSU loses.

Easy, we beat Bama by 10 points at their place. We didn’t play Georgia. It’s not a true 3-way tie.

My concern is that they could though. Georgia is #1 and has been #1 or 2 all season. Plus they’re the defending national champions. Look at how Ohio State only dropped 4 spots. If Georgia lost and dropped four spots, that’s right where we are.

Conf champs supposedly have a higher weighting and act as a tiebreaker.

It would be better if the FSU game was before the Bama-Georgia game. Since we don’t know that outcome, it’s better to root for Bama. A Georgia win still leaves the possibility of all 4 undefeateds making it in; Bama beating Georgia leaves the door wider for us.

If Bama blows out Georgia (doubtful) and we struggle but still beat OSU, I can definitely see Bama getting in over us. FSU losing would put us in, though.

That’s assuming that the committee would actually view us as tied with Georgia, the current top ranked team and defending national champion. They may not. I’d rather Alabama just lose by 3, and be eliminated. Then we would be a step closer.

What if Bama wins by 10 points?

I think Georgia wins by 10 points anyway

They’ve set the programming intentionally. To string out the entire day. We will be watching from 11a-11p, hoping, until the end, that Louisville can hang on.
