Not to rehash too much, but how about the safety on the 1st play from scrimmage in 2008 and the countless other plays that got Texas so far behind it was amazing to even be in the game that late?

Should have caught it but for the love of everything Longhorns, please, can we just put to bed that HE lost the game for Texas?

Charlie Tanners whiff on Whitlock and the subsequent sack of Obannaya in the end zone for a safety, had has much or more to do with that loss than the Gideon drop. That miscue ignited the TT fans, and it would take the next 2 and a half quarters to recover.

Don't feel sorry for Jones. He did it to himself. He took Jimmy when no one else would take the job. When they "broke up", NOBODY would work for Jones. He turned to his old friend Barry for one year to try to repair his image and find a coach. Next year, no takers, so Barry stuck it to Jones. The job gave Barry a Texas address, TDL, voter registration, and no Oklahoma taxes.
