OU at Baylor

Think that OU outscores them 24-0 in the 2nd half and Hurts fumbled as he was going in for a score or it's 31-0. Hopefully this is one of those games where one loss causes 2.
I suspect Texas folds up in to the fetal position and gives up the last 2 games. Baylor still has something to play for.

This Texas team hasn't shown much pride and that is pretty much what it is down to. Pride and which crap *** Bowl game do they go to.

Remember when Tom was noted for winning as an underdog. Last year we beat OU and UGA as pretty big underdogs. This year we can cover the spread, but aren't winning these games.

Hey look what a mobile qb can do when down a ton....sorry, Earl......

I think it's the difference between having a quarterback playing quarterback, versus having a fullback playing quarterback. Sam is great kid, who gives it all every game, every play. But forcing this kid to carry this ballclub and the staff is deeply flawed. Imagine him as a slot back running and catching the ball in OU's scheme. Imagine he would be a hell of a pass blocker too.

Just sayin. Flame away.

:bevo:

Sam missed CJ today. He like everyone likes guys he can count on. We couldn't get the running game going at all so the whole game was on his shoulders with one hand tied behind his back. I really think if CJ plays we win this game. Biggest difference is not having LJH this year. Guy was nails last year and brought a toughness to the slot. Duv does too, but he's just not as big or strong to move the pile the way LJH could. I also wonder if there are other things in Sam's life this year. You can just see it in the way he runs. He's just not having the same fun he did last year. I think a lot of it is teams have figured out how to stop those delayed QB runs and he's not having the same success in the run game. It would help if we didn't telegraph it every time and run some other sets out of it.

Wah, wadster. Hurts missed CD Lamb and came back against a better team to win.

Texas fans always look for an excuse. OSU lost their best WR for the year. Ehlinger still had 2-3 better WRs than ISU had on the field.

Baylor was a borderline death penalty case. Most of their talent transferred and practically all of their good recruits decommitted. Fast forward a couple years... they they were undefeated until last night, will probably end regular season with only one loss and all of this in Waco at rape U. Yet we are young and still have holes to fill?!? Baylor is what happens when you hire an established coach with experience. What we have is BS!!!!

I don't think I would join a Sooner message board for a couple years just to talk crap to them. At least Bubba knows his place on here.

That said, OU is and has been the, well, can't really use the word class when describing anything Sooner, but, elite of the Big XII. They win it so much and have a collection of Heisman winners Texas can only dream of at this point.

Oh well, it doesn't mean I'd go on their boards to talk crap but what are ya going to do? We suck and they don't. Texas is 6-4, OU, at 9-1, is well on its way to its 13th and 5th, 5th!, conference title in a row. 5th in a row. Texas has 3 total.

So, while our land thievery embracing friend may be showing a predictable level of buffoonery befitting a Sooner, his team has earned him the right to do so.

In this day and age of touch football, lesser schools can get scrawny players who can get play and not get lit up. So, players that would normally get carried off on a stretcher now can excel because they can't be touched until they're ready to be touched. So, go get you a qb who can sling it and a bunch of 5'8 to 5'11 receivers and start throwing. It's really not that difficult. When these teams go against each other it's a s*** show, but when they go against Texas and OU they're cast as the most amazing thing around. The rules have made it more equitable in college football which is what a lot of people want. But, that goes both ways, one can't complain about being beaten by lesser talent when the rules make it so the more talented bigger/stronger/faster players can't physically punish the less talented smaller/weaker/slower players.

Based on the National Championship implications heading into the games, the only play that rivals Brewer's interception last night was Blake Gideon's dropped interception versus Tech in 2008. Both should be considered for "the biggest choke job" in B12 history. Both plays will live in B12 lore, and both plays benefited OU.

Not to rehash too much, but how about the safety on the 1st play from scrimmage in 2008 and the countless other plays that got Texas so far behind it was amazing to even be in the game that late?

Should have caught it but for the love of everything Longhorns, please, can we just put to bed that HE lost the game for Texas?

Doesn't matter because even if OU wins out, it's doubtful they get in the playoff this year. Which for them is a good thing, since they'll avoid being embarrassed yet again on the big stage.

With a healthy Lamb, and a better defense than last year; I don't think OU will get embarrassed at all. LSU isn't that great. Clemson isn't really very good compared to last year. Texas should have beaten LSU. OU is better than the Texas team that "handled" LSU. Now if they get tOSU in the Semi-final...that is another story all together.....an ***-kicking could happen.

Thank you. Let's not forget Shipley of all people dropping a pass right in the numbers that would have been a 60 yrd TD.

Said QB was also the biggest reason they were down a ton in the first place.

Exactly, that game was a crap
show way before Gideon lost it for Texas lol. I was at the airport Hilton at PBI. I embarrassingly slunk out of the bar area to go watch the rest of the disaster in my room.

That’s a good point. When I think of Herman I think of that guy *** clowning on the sidelines mocking the Missouri QB. What other college coach would do that? Hell, Switzer wouldn’t have done that. :)
