Evansville upset E Carolina.

Clemson just rallied in the bottom of the 9th for the win over High Point.

This is awesome. Grand Canyon has what appears to be a 300+ pounder rounding third and lumbering home to score on a bases loaded double.

GCU takes the lead 5-3 over #1 host Arizona.

The only way this could get any better would be if they played the big boy at center field.

The Gauchos are asserting their steak carving powers now. 6-2 over Fresno St in the 5th.

The announcers on ESPN Squeeze Play are slobbering all over the Big 12 and how great it is at baseball.

Ten of the sixteen #2 seeds lost yesterday with #2 La Tech losing to wheat aggy in the 6th inning 9-4 in a delayed game.

stud batter too

Wake Forest was down 4 - 1 going to the top of the 9th. They ended up scoring 5 runs to take the lead.

East Carolina rattles off 4 straight singles to tie the game at 6 all. Next batter gets HBP and loads the bases. Then an out by fielder's choice at the plate and the next one gets a walk-off single to win the game to send the Deacons home for the season.

On the brink of elimination:

Only five schools have reached the NCAA baseball tournament in each of the last 10 seasons. Four of those are expected names: Vanderbilt, Florida, LSU and Oklahoma State. They’re power conference schools with giant athletic departments and 11 baseball national championships between them. But the fifth school on that streak is Dallas Baptist, a 4,200-student school that plays all of its other sports at the Division II level, the only D-I baseball school to do so...
How Dallas Baptist became college baseball's most unlikely perennial contender
(it's unfortunately behind the NYT paywall...)

Nah, we decided he's too old. The guy we need is Dan Heefner. DBU now up 6-0 over #18 Arizona

How the heck did Arizona with 22 losses...well make it 23 now...get to host a regional? Meanwhile we have an identical record at 36-22 but land as a 3 seed in the #4 overall region?? The selection committee needs to be punished somehow. This entire tournament seems to be seeded all out of whack.
