SMU's offensive line was beaten in the first half and the qb was terrible under pressure. Maybe they should have run the ball more.

The major change in the playoffs for next year needs to be doing completely away with rewarding conference champions and expand to 16 teams so everyone plays week 1.

The five champions will be in regardless, but the seedings need to be based solely off the overall rankings. The rankings need to be done off a compilation of different poll ranking/power rankings/rating services etc so it's not just people choosing who they like. No "guaranteed" spots for the SEC & Big 10, just simply based off a comprehensive ranking system.

For the most part I agree except conference champions get nothing handed to them. If you are in the top 16 you're in and first two rounds are home games for the higher seed.

SMU actually had a good chance to be competitive - but that goes out the window with all the turnovers. Hope SMU can make a respectable showing in the second half.

SMU's not a bad football team. The defense is actually pretty good. They are not a solid football team, though. They have a couple of significant weaknesses as compared to true top 10 teams. They are still in building mode but I don't know what that means, any longer. It's year to year.
