OTHER GAMES

Helton’s hot seat just got hotter after USC goes down to BYU. That’s good for our recruiting and other outside teams poaching California for recruits. Across town, Kelly at UCLA is on an even hotter seat—he can’t seem to buy a single win.

20 combined first half possessions in Tech vs Arizona (average per game is like 26) and yet only 20 combined points as well.
Re: Tech. So Bowman can scorch lousy defenses. We knew that. A competent defensive effort (AZ) more or less shut him down.

has super recruit McCoy played for SC yet

checked USC's stats and superman McCoy hasnt even broke the stat sheet yet in 3 games

McCoy has health and NCAA issues.

Helton is in over his head. If USC had a AD, Helton would not have been allowed in the plane back to LA. Kelly's issues are more institutional. UCLA doesn't seem to be a destination for quality recruits. Both probably will be canned, but watch Kelly. He just might surface in Watts.

TCU dismantled Purdue. Anderson 179 yards on 16 carries. Olonilua also over 100 yards. Not much passing, but TCU didn’t need to.

TCU figuratively slew, dismembered, gutted, destroyed, desecrated, skull-f@&ked, and murdered Purdue, then poured gasoline on the Boilermaker carcass and set it on fire.

And I had expected a close game.

Finally, a Saturday with lots of great games not involving us:

Michigan v. Wisconsin: this should be a barn burner. The best in the Big 10 West vs. the best (or next best) in the Big 10 East. Wisconsin has the home field advantage at Camp Randall, and Michigan has looked unimpressive thus far. Look for Wisconsin to wear them down in the 4th.

California v. Ole Miss: Call this one the culture war. Expect Cal to beat the Rebels--a so-so team from an overrated conference.

Michigan State v. NW: Two upper-middle Big 10 teams. Mich. St. doesn't have the offense to win this one. For you lurking SJWs out there, the Spartan kicker wins some PC image points for his frolicking saunter onto the field though.

Auburn v. A&M: An overrated, but still very good, Auburn team leaves the ags weeping and leaving Kyle Field early. Mond and the A&M O can't get in gear. And I almost forgot the most important part: late in the game, the aggies quit—as aggies are prone to do.

SMU v. TCU: I'm rooting for TCU, but this could be a real barn-burner. Buchele is on fire. SMU lacks the overall talent though...

WV v. Kansas: We'll see who's for real and who's not real quick.

ND v. Georgia: Battle of the over-rateds. GA will likely take the leprechaun down in a hard fought game.

UCF v. Pitt: Pitt may give UCF fits. Possible upset here.

KY v. Miss St: A boring mashup of strong defensive teams with lousy offenses.

Oregon v. Stanford: A decent chance for an upset here.

Washington v. BYU: Watch out Huskies. This is a solid Cougar team like in the days of LaVell Edwards (not as pass-happy though).

Tennessee v. Florida: Florida has lucked out thus far and is overrated (See Miami game). They don't need much luck against this sorry Vols team though. Gators win easily.

An Ohio State University takes on another Ohio state university—this one going by the less presumptuous name “Miami (Ohio).”

It’s a 100% certainty that an Ohio state university will win.

Tonight USC v Utah: I’m of the opinion that the USC train wreck is far from being fixed. Utah looks quite good. Utah wins handily. Da Yoots!

Bold predictions for tomorrow’s other games:

11am - Tennessee plays Florida close and possibly wins.

2:30 pm - aggy jumps out to a 2 touchdown lead then folds in the 4th quarter to Auburn

7:00 pm - Georgia rolls against the Irish

I don’t think Helton makes it to December.
He seems like a great guy, but he’s in over his head.
How many times can you have better players on your roster and lose?

Sloppy execution on O by the men of Troy (dropped ball). Yoots now with the ball deep in their own territory. SC 21 U 20.

Yoots called for intentional grounding in own end zone. Safety. SC getting to QB on stunts and blitzes.

USC 23
Utah 20

Yoots to punt/kickoff after safety.
