OTHER GAMES

Obvious interference screws KSU against Bama. Most games come down to a dozen plays and the refs are responsible for at least a 1/3 of those.

And then a Bama defender rips a KSU receiver's helmet off by the facemask, while out of bounds, with an official right there. No flag. This opponent and this officiating feel very familiar.

Loved what young said . I am playing this game for my teammates and to win for the team. Not a alabama fan but young shows more class than Texas players who opted out.Refreshing to see a player with that attitude.

I'm not sure "class" is the right word, but I think it might show more character. If I'm an NFL team, I'd think playing for your teammates in a bowl game would push your stock up. That's the kind of guy you want leading your team.

Handler- Makes you wonder if coaching has something to do with their decisions.Alabama players are playing like this is a game for the national championship.

Who is ready to see TCU get destroyed today? Their fanbase has been violating the #1 rule of college football karma - don't start talking sh#t when you have some success, especially when you really just backed into a fortuitous situation. Frog fans have come out of nowhere on twitter this month and seemingly been trashing our program at every opportunity. The last time I saw this was before Blow-U played LSU in the CFP. Would love to see a similar result.

Bama's stars playing in a meaningless bowl, especially for them. Our culture isn't where it needs to be still when our stars sit out.
It's commendable that they're playing. Then there's games like Jaylon Smith where he drops an entire round on a bad knee injury in a bowl. And think back to Tony Hills where he had drop foot and they weren't sure he'd ever even run again much less play. Took him 2 years to get back. It's easy to second guess these guys when it's not your millions on the table. Most teams stars aren't playing in these games except playoffs and NY6 games. If our culture sucks so does most of these other teams. Everyone was piling on BR, but he was risking the most. If anyone should have played it's RJ and Overshown.

Using that logic, Bijan should have sat after we lost to TCU, there was nothing to play for then either.

I have always liked Bijon and Rs. I dont respect their decisions. Bijon didnt play and is probably a second rounder. Alabama Has a first pick of the draft playing and another first rounder on defense playing. How can you seriously care about your school or teammates and know you could make the difference on them winning or losing and not playing.

And even more ironic, Roschon is playing in a completely meaningless Sr. Bowl. But he's not playing for his teammates and school.

I lost a lot of respect for these 3 guys for leaving the Alamo. Pun intended.

Run?
Roschon playing in Senior Bowl where he will get what? Maybe 4 carries?
How many would he have had in Alamo Bowl?
Typically you play in the Senior Bowl to get exposure to pro team scouts.
Don't get his thinking

ATx- I try not to root for anyone north of the red river.
I can appreciate that, but in this case, there is NOTHING good for our program that could come from a TCU win today. Nothing. Michigan needs to quit getting Harbaughed and get back to basics and put these pretenders away.

I have lots of Bowl Maina points on Michigan but am rooting for TCU because they beat us. The odds are slim but winning it all would be ok with me.

Because BR is risking 10+M that's why. And he's not going 2nd round. He could go as high as 10 and low as 25. But he's not lasting till the 2nd round. Nobody has him that low. Like I said it's easy to gamble with someone else's money.

I've so enjoyed watching BR the last 3 years. Not a lot else to really enjoy. I'll always have fond memories and his not playing the Alamo bowl isn't going to taint what he's give to the football program. If you want to focus on what he didn't do vs what he did, up to you. But I'll be grateful for everything he did do. Same goes for RJ and DO. BR could have transferred to Georgia or Bama and had a real chance for an NC. He decided to stay committed to us. That commitment is a lot more important than one bowl game to me.

So far TCU is getting exactly what they must have to win, Michigan not converting in red zone, a pick six, the key for TCU in this game is about whether Michigan makes enough mistakes to keep TCU in the game long enough for the Frogs to have a chance.
