OTHER GAMES

Tua, who had only thrown five interceptions all year, threw three bad ones (on three consecutive possessions) at the end of the game to hand the Packers the win.

. . .He has gone into concussion protocol today. Don't know whether that had anything to do with his meltdown in the game.

Early in the season, Ryan was ineffective. So, the coach benched him in favor of Sam, but then the Colts fired the coach and replaced him with somebody who had never coached any position at the professional or college level. The new coach demoted Sam to third team and started Ryan. Then, this week, after Ryan has again been ineffective, the coach moves him down to third team (inactive), and starts Foles tonight (with Sam on the bench). Early in the third quarter, Foles has already thrown three picks. What a zoo. :)

. . . Six minutes left in the game and the Colts have a grand total of 3 points. Even the announcers are wondering why Sam isn't in the game yet. I think Coach Saturday just does not want to admit he made a mistake in benching him when he took the job. (or maybe, he just wants to protect Sam because this offensive line play is awful)

... under 2 minutes left and the Colts came up short on a fourth and nine. No contest.

D’Onta Foreman knew the Carolina Panthers' offensive linemen meant business when they walked into a meeting room following Friday's walkthrough practice. They were silent, and wearing full-length black ski masks.

To Foreman, it meant the linemen were focused — and ready to bounce back from a disappointing showing the week before.

They did just that Saturday.

Foreman ran for a career-high 165 yards and a touchdown and the Panthers racked up a franchise-record 320 yards on the ground behind a dominating performance up front to beat the Detroit Lions 37-23 and keep their NFC South title hopes alive.

Chuba Hubbard also had a career best by rushing for 125 yards for the Panthers, who had been held to 21 yards on 16 carries in a home loss to Pittsburgh six days earlier.

The combined Big 12 power.....

I am patiently waiting for the Wisconsin-Okie Lite game. Wish I could make the Birmingham Bowl go faster. A game so unattractive and unnecessary that no one beyond players’ friends and families bothered to attend.

Coastal Carolina, 9-3, is getting whipped 45-21 by East Carolina, 7-5, which suggests that they are overrated … or maybe not, seeing as how neither team is in the top 25 … so I guess they are both just varying degrees of irrelevant.

People didn’t think Coastal Carolina was as good this year as in recent past. It appears tonight’s game is consistent with that.

I can't believe the Okie State/Wisconsin game didn't begin until 9:30 central time. A lot of folks on the East Coast are getting ready for bed around that time.

Thought about going to the Guaranteed Rate Bowl game since it’s up the road in Phoenix, but decided to kick back and watch it on the tube instead. Glad I stayed home.

In terms of most disappointing loss of the year that Stillwater game has to be number one with a bullet. Okie State absolutely fell apart after that game and Texas had every chance to start that fall and not be their last hurrah before the fall began.

Yes, probably the most painful of the painful losses during the season (tech would be #2). Horns had the lead and could not hang on to it. Okie Lite DID fall apart after that game....

I know others will make fun of Gundy but I like how he responded in post game interview to a jerk reporter who asked what coaching changes he would make after the loss.
Mike said, Do you think I would tell you?
These are peoples lives, families lives. We will do it the right way.
He called the reporter an azz.
How can you not like a dude that cares about his people And their families?
