OTHER GAMES

That damn Dallas Turner is one dirty player.

To those on here that said his cheap shot on Ewers was a good football play, YOUR WRONG

Justin Jefferson just made the best catch I can ever remember seeing on a desperation 4th and 18 for the Vikings. Catch the replays if you get a chance.

I missed that. I heard them say they were going to the "Game of the Week" but missed that the NFL rules require that.
I thought that networks have stayed with close games before.
Apparently Games played in "major" market of which Dallas is one take precedence.
NY Chicago Philly LA are also major markets.

If only you were equally magnanimous and conciliatory with regards to Texas' performances.

The next time Texas is 8-0 playing on the road against another undefeated team and loses the game in a similar fashion I just might.

Let's take last night as an example. Texas is now 6-4 and lost by 7 points to a top 5 team. If that were the outlier game I'd probably say Texas hung tough and lost a close game. Not happy, but it is what it is. As it stands I'll say the defense was outstanding and showed significant improvement overall but the offense has now been a complete **** show for 8 of the last 10 quarters costing us two losses.

Can you tell the difference?

Well, at least they didn’t interrupt the programming of a late 4th quarter Oakland Raiders game to show the movie Heidi.

Regional audiences are generally required to get the local game in its entirety. So, for example, outside of the Texas and Chicago/Wisconsin market, I don't know who else got Heidi'ed on the BUF/MIN game.

Kickers certainly have gotten longer since most of us were kids. FG kicker (not named Tucker) for Washington tonight has hit from 58, 55, 44, and 32

I remember watching the "Heidi Game" live! I was 14-15 years old. Exciting Oakland - Jets matchup with my Dad -1968. Joe Namath was Jets QB and went on to lead Jets to a Superbowl win over the Colts.

I'm impressed, as this game was before your time but you know about it!

I was alive then...not watching a lot of football, but I WAS around for the game. And we heard about it on a number of potential overtime games in the early 70's...

Rain,

Come on; if you take an allstar team from all the teams they've played, you could probably make the top 10 (wait make that top 25) in the ACC (make that Big Sky); OK, Southland Conference; OK, make that the top three in UIL District 5 5A.

Apparently Aggy opponent this week UMass has their equipment crew staying at the Woodlands Marriott. Smart folks.

A friend of mine from high school days is a Professor of Microbiology at CMU. I asked her if she was out there supporting the Chips last night. (short answer, she wasn't. And I blamed her for CMU's loss)

Derrick Henry, who is currently leading the league in rushing, already had about 20 bruising runs tonight for Tenn, which had the ball second and goal inside the five. Henry lines up behind QB, and QB hands off to him straight up the middle. Entire Green Bay defense converges to stop him but just before he reaches the line of scrimmage between center and guard, he jumps up and throws TD pass to wide, wide open tight end.

Stanhin,

Wouldn't that require a RB who could pass? Do we have one of those? I wonder how long it would take to put a play like that into the playbook?

Well, to be fair, he only had to toss the ball about seven yards straight ahead. I'm not convinced he has the skills of a passer. ;) As to your question about how long it would take to put it in the playbook, the announcers noted that, with the short amount of practice time available before a Thursday night NFL game, they were surprised Tenn had time to add it this week and they speculated it might have been added as far back as training camp and just not used until now. Whatever the case, it completely fooled GB.
