OTHER GAMES

After watching today's games I find it hard not to hope for a eight team playoff. It would generate a lot of excitment and I find it hard to imagine Alabama and Georgia would simply wade through these guys. Today was one of the most entertaining days of football in my life.
That’s cause you were competing In Bowl Mania!

Entertaining game, but tOSU got shelled by Meatchicken and gave up 45 to UU. What makes anyone think they would hang with UGA or Bama? Pretty evident this was a 2 horse race. Anything more was window dressing.

Baylor blows a TD drive with a weak play by receiver and poor throw at goal line. INT.

Calling it now. If the Baylor OC calls for a pass on this drive, he should be fired on the spot.

Good point, but the probability that he would go the distance was low. I agree that him running it back was higher that one of his team mates, but having two maybe three throws down field seems more attractive.
Sure the coach was also factoring in having a walk on QB back there too. There just weren't any good options. I can see a case for both.

Sorry man, but I can’t stand Baylor since they pulled all the BS some years back.
Understood. But do you see how the Baylor players behave on the field? No jackassery like under Briles. Aranda is the real deal - Saban like.

I hate Baylor like everyone else but when I see their D pull back on hitting the QB or hitting the RB as he is running out of bounds, etc, I can only conclude they are well coached. If anything, they are arguably best behaved team in college football. The anti-jackassery is impressive.

Aranda is the real deal and if Baylor can hold on to him they will be stout for several years. That said I just feel sick for the Ole Miss QB, plays the game when he probably should have opted out and gets hurt. Hopefully that wasnt a several million dollar mistake. Yet another example of why you can never begrudge these kids who opt out.

Personally, I hate all the opt-outs. Just reeks of disloyalty to the team. But the realist in me understands it. Getting drafted by the NFL can mean millions right off the bat. It's careless to jeopardize that for what basically amounts to an exhibition game. I'll be a Jekyll and Hyde on this issue forever.

I’m okay with the opt outs. The gap between a first team player playing soft and a 2nd and 3rd teamer playing hard is close enough.
A lot of those second teamers are hungry as lions. Some are even flat out better.
