OTHER GAMES

Buckeyes are in for a dogfight. That Oregon team speed is impressive. O is holding their own in the trenches as well. This is one of those rare instances where the opposition’s talent equals that of Ohio State. And I also think Mario is a good coach. He certainly had the Ducks prepared.

Mario tricked them to pack the middle, got the outside guys good blocking angles, and the RB hit that left corner again for a TD. Nice play design. Shades of Sark in this Mario guy.

14-7 Oregon.

I do not believe that is a game where I would lay points...if anything, I would look to play the total in that game.

Virginia has a one game sample size on the year and we still don't know what the Illini bring to the table, beating the Children of the Corn with a backup QB but losing to UTSA. Early game on the road also tilts things somewhat but at least weather shouldn't be a factor...

It opened -12 but seems to be -10.5 in most shops, with the O/U at 55.5. I wouldn't put this in a parlay but I wouldn't be averse to Chili's money with Illinois getting the points. However, I think the better play is on the over...
With a two-game sample size, I believe Bielema and his QB selection is problematic. This week and the UTSA debacle involved the use of the guy the Corn people knocked out early. The back-up seems to be a better play but Bielema seems to believe you don't lose your job due to injury...

The pick most recently thrown puts the game into the over category though...

But to think Illinois had this one close for a little while at 21-14 early in the 2nd half. Then the wheels came off. Not that they were tightened to begin with, getting down 14-0 barely halfway through first quarter...

Yeah, major choke job by Okla State. But I bet they recover and win a squeaker. Not what they expected.

So far it looks like the Oregon and Ohio St game is a game of offenses. Oregon has decided to adopt the Texas pass coverage of years past and Ohio St has decided that defense is optional.

Oregon is blocking well, tricking the Buckeyes D, and that Oregon RB is really quick and shifty. Blown coverages by the Ducks secondary are one of the main things keeping Ohio State in the game.

Ohio State is staring at a 14 point deficit; 4th Quarter. And against an evenly talented (but faster) opponent. Go Ducks!

I think the Mercer vs Alabama game will have Mercer changing their name to Mercey by the end of the 1st quarter.

What a joke for Alabama to schedule that school. If you are the baddest in the land at least schedule a mid-tier FBS school.

Early in the 4th quarter, Oregon up 35-21. Ohio State is in trouble - they cannot win by trading touchdowns at this point, and they haven't shown the ability to stop Oregon.
Looks like the world's record for couch-burning may be broken tonight in Columbus.

OSU scored to come within 7. Now, Oregon has third and long. Incomplete. Punt. OSU gets the ball at their own 29. OSU is just passing at will now. Gain of 22. Then, overthrows a wide open receiver. Now, the second bad pass in a row by OSU (or maybe it was just a slip by the OSU receiver).
