the administration is not going to allow anything to take away from obama's victory tour of ground zero tomorrow. he will milk this for all he can and then release the photo.
 
so now on the flip flop of releasing of OBL photo Obama has flipped. Now he says it will not be released.

I don't care either way but I really hope we aren't making the decision based on how we fear the muslims will react.

Which would make muslims angrier at us, releasing a photo of OBL, that most agree is dead
or knowing we killed her father in cold bolld in front of his 13 y o daughter?

and one last question, How will we tell they are more inflamed than we think they are now with the news of us killing OBL? the WH and DOD are positive radcial muslims will retaliate for that.

So the final point is HOW would we know releasing a picture would inflame them more ?

Wow. BinLaden's death has spawned a whole new level of irrational hate from the radicals. I'm talking wild-eyed radical Obama haters whose world can't make sense if Obama is not the devil 24/7.

This is really separating the rational opposition from the crazies. Theu, at least your innocently started thread has served as sort of a Geiger Counter for detecting maxed out partisan obsession.

I don't know why Obama is reluctant to release the photos, he had no problem lifting the ban on photos of american coffins or his plan to release all the addional photos which showed prisoner abuse. i wonder why he had no problem then but does now?

I might even consider myself an Obama hater... I would say that, but I would mean it in reference to his policies. Honestly, I could probably sit down at a beer summit with him and have a decent conversation.
I really don't know how there is harsh criticism over these photos. I find there to be strong pros and cons on both sides. It really is a damned if you do and damned if you don't situation.
That seems to be the reality. Some of the real partisan types seem to have no sense of reality. I know we are rarely on the same side of things Roma, but on this thread I believe we are. Here is to rationality and reality winning out.
 
There is no harsh criticism of Obama, even from the Republican senator quoted above, who nicely framed the no/win situation.
But we do have an escalating radical deather movement for comedic relief. Thank you Murphy, 123, and 6721, Asd and whomever else feeds on this garbage. Very entertaining stuff. Your opinions are like an internet acid trip.
 
Presumably these pictures still exist and therefore ought to come under the FOIA as they are not Obama's personal photos. So, irregardless of Obama's attempted dictate, I look forward to seeing Osama with his head half blown off.
 
I'm about as big of an Obama (policies) disliker as possible but I'm not going to go all nutty and say this is one big lie and OBL is sitting on a beach someplace. That is the most idiotic thing I've read in a very long time.

I'm glad Obama pulled the trigger on this mission. I'm glad he kept us in the Afghan war and is keeping Gitmo open. I'm glad he is NOT what I thought he would be as far as being soft in the ME. It does take some balls to go into another country without their permission, conduct a raid, kill the most hated man in the world and basicly say FU to Pakistan(sp) we're doing what we want. I'd love to see MORE of that kind of action from this Prez.

Now if he'd only change his mind on some of his policies we'd be okay

the photos should be released. we can take it we have in the past. the muslim nuts are not going to get any crazier as a result. stop worrying about the feelings of people who already hate us and are being "recruited" regardless of what we do.. there are photos of the 3 dead bodies left behind. i checked them out and i am sure the muslim nuts did too. the "ball was not spiked" with the release of those.

what is up with the water guns in those photos?

the raid might have gone smooth less the chopper down, but the WH has fumbled since that time. something smells funny about this whole deal. not saying ubl is not dead, but how it happened and what exactly went down seems off a bit.
