Officals

And the hits keep coming. It's hard to take the Big 12 seriously when their officials are such amateurs. Tonight for example:
1. 2 very glaring goaltends, no call.
2. Johnson gets absolutely hammered from the back, no call.
3. Guys getting the crap beat outta them trying to score underneath, too many non-calls to even begin. I don't think I've ever seen so many "clean" blocks in a game.
4. A 5 second call on DJ, are you kidding me?
5. Charges called blocked, flops called offensive fouls, just piss, poor officiating.

I think it hurts Big 12 teams come tournament time because they won't be used to playing with big time officials calling the games.

Here's a lesson for officials. If you're not 100% sure it's a foul, swallow the whistle.

There were some bad calls on both ends of this UT/A&M game.

The only truly awful calls I remember from tonight were the two obvious goal tends in the first half that went against A&M. Gary Johnson and Damion James each got away with one (on the latter, my understanding is you can't interfere with the ball once it hits the glass, even if it is still ascending).

Otherwise, it seemed like the officials let 'em play, much like the KU game from the previous Monday.
