Number of towel uses between washings

I like the question about how often the one timers with towels wash their sheets. Given the ratio of dirt and grime when you go to bed (unless you shower every time before going to bed, using a newly washed towel) you should wash your sheets every 18 minutes.

Maybe y'all sleep on hammocks made of clean towel material?

I think about every 10 days depending on use. I have company towels I don't use so they are always ready if somebody stays over and needs one.

I have cleaning towels, dog towels, my towels and company towels. All in all I think I have 3 towels.

Probably three or four. It must be hung up to dry after every use though.
A sour smelling towel is nearly as bad a gulp of sour milk.

Fact #4 isn't a fact. You can smell when a dirty towel is dirty after a while. The rest of the post I agree with.

I guess either my towels don't ever smell *that* bad, or I change them out before they do. For me, #4 is fact. I can't imagine the time scale needed to make my towel smell that bad, though. Probably also depends on environment. If you live in the amazon rainforest, it's probably not the same as living in phoenix. Anywhere humid, towels will take much longer to dry and have more chance of smelly stuff growing on them.

Think about the environment! If you wash your towel every day you might as well write "HUGE CARBON FOOTPRINT" on your face! </sarcasm>
