Number of towel uses between washings

I don't know. I have a final on Friday, I'm not sure when I put the curent towel up there and now it smells like vinegar and cilantro. The thing is, I have a clean one RIGHT HERE, but I won't use it.

1-2 times? Why is it disgusting to not wash the towel that hasn't gotten anything on it except clean water? You might as well wash your towel again right after putting it through the washer and dryer.

I have a boat load of towels.
Probably 15-20 just for myself.
I use a towel once or twice then its in the laundry.

Do yall wash your dress shirts after every use?
Sometimes I will just hang them back up and use them one more time, then too the wash...

Laundry is done once a week in my house on average, so 5-8 times depending on if I worked out at home or not that week.

one time then it goes into the laundry basket

my wife uses hers 2 or 3 times between washing

she has also designated some of our towels as "fashion towels" that are absolutely forbidden from use. i don't get that but oh well

Depends on if I had to dry off the dog more than three or four times and wipe up shower water leaks on the floor a couple of times, then it might have to be washed every week or so.

For regular bath towels the least you should go in between washes should be about 7 uses. Anything less than that is just wasteful and not environmentally friendly at all.

For the guys that air dry - Mother Earth thanks you.

For the guy that air dries on his balcony - your neighbors do not.

LOL at washing it between every use. No wonder the aquifers are all going dry and we're running out of fresh water.

Fact #1: It's impossible to catch any diseases from a towel that YOU didn't introduce to the towel.

Fact #2: It only touches you when you're at your very cleanest.

Fact #3: Virtually nothing that grows well on a towel at room temp will be an efficient human pathogen.

Fact #4: Any smell you could pick up from a "dirty" towel would be miniscule compared to the masking odors of soap/shampoo/deodorant and maybe even cologne, unless that towel were SERIOUSLY MFing DIRTY.

I defy anyone to come up with ANY rational explanation for washing it every time. I'd be very interested in how many wash-every-timers have other OCD symptoms (or have someone else doing their laundry).
