Maybe Reddit global warming threads should be added to:

existing Reddit for global warming (no deniers allowed)
new Reddit for global warming deniers
new Reddit to allow both to be discussed in the same thread

Seems like if they were smart they could have 3 since the existing was censored. What would hurt to add two more so they can stratify the populations who want unfettered discussion and for those who want the free flow of information and ideas.

On the message just above this one it mentions that data is being manipulated or normalized? Surely there is access to how this is being done and records are being kept so procedures can be double or more checked to allow methodology to be scrutinized?

Skepticism is healthy with respect to government actions and scientific methodology.
 
Is Stephen Wilde a quack scientist? He has some cool stuff that might be fluff? He is working on a model that uses some interesting theory.

I've never added any comments to this topic. Because it's flat out retarded that some people think like Al Gore. They like to throw out words and try to make a meaning of them like they know what they are talking about. They like to put up stats and studies like it actually means something. This Paso guy doesn't realize these scientist can make their studies mean whatever they want them to mean. Either because of their ideology or they want or need funding by giving answers these politicians want to hear. Please save yourself the trouble of trying to explain non-sense. It's all BS.
 
How's the north pole doing these days? Santa stopped by a few days ago and said things are great. I figured if his homeland was melting away he would have mentioned it.
 
I think it's ironic that a boat load of scientists observing ice melt got frozen into the ice because it froze faster than they could get out.
 
Record breaking low temps in some cities. It's amazing that some idiots still believe Al Gore and his scientist.
 
this has been hilarious. since this thread began, we have not warmed globally one bit. in fact, depending upon which global indices you use, we have now gone between 12-17 years without any warming at all.

Here is a graph with the 4 most well known/received indices. I even updated to Hadcrut 4 (which predictably attempts to show much warming) but it doesn't matter. the most dramatic "warming" of the 4 indices shows about 0.1 degree of warming over the 17 year period. That is about 0.6 degrees warming per century which is less than we saw in the past century. Things are not going the warmists' way.

funny enough, the AMO is still due to switch to a cold phase and the Sun has just peaked, possibly for 40 years but that is still only a prediction obviously. Regardless, there are reasons to expect more flat temps.

Did anybody see the video of the guy standing out on one of the coldest day in years to get people to sign a petition to fight global warming as they all froze their asses. Even the pen to sign it wouldn't work it was so cold. It was hilarious! If you find it please post.
 
how about the very awkward fact that we have not had any warming in 12-17 years, depending on which indices you use? This is actually getting quite comical. What happens when some of the indices start showing 20 years of no warming? We are only 3 years from that happening in the RSS. If we were to see some cooling, we could reach those timeframes even more quickly.
 
I say that this is just another attempt to move the goalposts. Almost every single climate model has failed utterly and completely. No one who believed in AGW/ACC saw this current period of no warming coming. So the new response is to act like global temperature is a meaningless data point and what is really a concern is the ocean heat content. come on....if the oceans are warming so much, why are they not rising far more than they are? why is the air temperature not rising? how is all of this energy sneaking past the atmosphere and hiding in the oceans? it is getting desperate.

But I will give you props for maintaining this thread even when things are not going your way Hornpharmd. That is seriously commendable. What will you say in 3 years if we make it to year 20 and there is no significant warming going back to 1997?
 
I would say that mop does not understand heat retention along with statistics or cherry picking, but we went over much of this about 20 pages ago.
 
i would say paso is conveniently grasping at straws when the models are overwhelmingly failing revealing a lack of knowledge and misunderstanding that is promising to undue the entire AGW enterprise.
 
just out of curiosity paso, when do you begin to admit that you were mistaken? when do you recognize that the predictions are utterly failing to materialise?
 
Since temperatures are increasing and well within the projected range of the models, I guess this has not occurred. You and your ilk don't know this though. Pity.

Damn it's hot tonight. I guess since it was 17 degrees in 1951 and 18 degrees tonight that means we have a mean temp increase of one degree. It's balmy!
