Noisy Neighbors (Updated)

When a group of folks continues day in and day out to search for the perfect solution to a given problem, the perfect solution will eventually surface every time.

Okay so things were going well for the last few weeks and then this week happend

I called the HOA the time before he was playing it and they said they "sent him a letter"....either he was out of town for two weeks or he kind of got the hint, cause I didn't hear a peep out of there till this past monday night/tuesday morning.....at 3AM.

So same story.....loud music.....3AM deep bass....wall shaking...I go over knock on the door...ring doorbell 5 times...pound on door...no-one answers...wake neighbors across the street from pounding on door...I call APD 15min later APD is here....APD pounds, knocks, rings doorbell, goes to back of condo, no-one comes to door...cop can hear music from his patrol car....he was a nice officer, but said he couldn't issue a citation since nobody comes to the door and they can't ID the owner....He gives me a record of all my calls to APD and the incident numbers too, so that is a plus for me.

I called the HOA on tuesday morning and complained again, AND also sent them a certified letter with all the APD incident numbers and dates on them with the times....basicly the letter said.....DO something NOW PLEASE. I also sent the neighbor a certified letter asking him to contact me so we can discuss the issue.

I'm also meeting with an ATTORNEY next week to see what my options are if the HOA doesn't do anything. I'm trying to go through the proper channels and NOT let my temper get the better of me....I guess I'm getting older/wiser or something.

I just hope that our HOA is willing to step up to the plate and take care of biz. If not we'll see what that attorney says. I'll keep yall updated.

One of the APD officers was I think joking, but said "back in the day you could just flip his breaker off"....I have thought about that, but then I'd probably get the ticket.

Man, stop waisting your time/energy/sleep by going over there. He is obviously too big of a douche bag to talk to you.

I can't believe your HOA isn't being more helpful. Hell, if my grass gets a little out of order, my HOA is sending me certified letters the next day.

The HOA may not be able to help as much as you hope, if your noisemaker is not the owner. Even so, this could go on for months even if attorneys get involved.

I'd keep calling the cops.

I'd give it another week, then I'd start retaliating. I'd go simple at first -- flip the breaker, fish on doorstep, then I'd escalate it. I'll admit, though, it would not be the smartest move.

It could, however, make you a hornfans legend.
