Nikki Haley for State?

I am perfectly happy with Haley to the UN. She is no longer governor of South Carolina and she can disappear forever in a meaningless job.

Same reason I do not like this liar who is also no longer in south carolina office. Southerners have long memories. Haley's poll numbers have dropped below 50% in South Carolina and she took a dead end job over getting thrown out of the office during the next primary (a lot of south carolina republicans who voted the way they did were thrown out of office this election cycle) which is the best case scenario for everyone.

I would vote for Hillary Clinton before I would vote for Nikki Haley, Jenny Horne or any or the others.

I have the flu right now, so my brain may not be 100 percent, but I'm not following. Did Haley lie about being a descendant of Jeff Davis like Horne did?

HTown, I have a feeling that UN Ambassador (not a dead end job by any means) is her grooming for Secretary of State eventually.

We have had 28 UN ambassadors. Have any of them gone on to hold a higher elected office other than George H.W. Bush?

Madeline Albright became Secretary of State. Lodge was the GOP VP Nominee in 1960. Richardson was Secretary of Energy. Moynihan became Senator from NY after his stint at the UN. John Bolton is in the running right now for State. Susan Rice would have been if she wasn't making video excuses.

Another reason for your answer is that UN Ambassador is already considered a cabinet rank position. That's like saying Treasury Secretary is a dead end job because none of those guys became President. How many SECDEF's or Secretaries of War have became President? Attorney Generals? 1/28 isn't exactly a bad conversion rate.

Hillary = Most corrupt person in American Politics ever.
Haley = Took down a flag.

My ancestor defended Charleston under that flag. As a kid I visited South Carolina, saw the batteries around Charleston, saw the flag in Columbia, etc. When I take my kid to South Carolina, that flag will no longer be there. Removing it had a direct impact on my life and erased part of my family's heritage. I would be equally pissed if memorials for my ancestors that fought in the American Revolution, Texas Revolution, World War 1 and World War 2 were ****ed with. That is far more important than corruption among our leaders (which includes Trump) that has no direct impact on my life. How would my life be different if Hillary Clinton never existed? It probably wouldnt.

I come from a family of veterans going back to the american revolution and f***ing with veterans memorials is BS. If it were up to the PC police, we would not have memorials for vietnam or the war on terror since they consider them "wars of imperialism."

Is that the only reason why she's in your **** list, or is there something else?

Doing that automatically gets you on my **** list. Though it was easy to argue against her since she really did not have any foreign policy experience, **** list aside.

Seriously? Maybe therapy will help you?

BHO affected my bank acct in a very bad way. Also my business I own. That would have continued if Hillary was President. Not mentioning Obamacare. Or all the refugees they are trying to bring over that perhaps could affect your kids, grand kids, great grand kids and all of America in the future. But yeah, I guess that flag is much more important than our safety.

What does this have to do with not voting for Haley in any hypothetical future election? If you care about my vote, dont nominate her.

If I (and south carolineans) decide not to support flag removers, we americans are all going to die? And im the one that needs therapy?

Also, Trump has already backtracked on obamacare and jailing Hillary so let me know if he improves your bank account four years from now.

Well HTown, I don't like the PC takeover of our history too. But Haley has been a great governor for South Carolina. She was always one of the most popular governors in the country by approval ratings. The 48% or so approval is also compared to only a 30-something % disapproval rating in a state that is more poltically and racially diverse than people from outside the state realize - than say, for example, a blood red Kentucky or Tennennesse. And her dip this year was almost certainly due to her order to remove the Rebel Flag from the Capitol.

You'll have some time to prepare yourself, but she's going to be Secretary of State within 2 years.

You said ^

You are the one that stated you'd vote for Hillary over Haley. I followed up and you made crazy comments stated how important a flag is over our safety.

Does anybody trust any polling anymore after this past election? They said Obama has a 55% or around that of approval rating. I call BS. This election is a direct result of what direction America wants to go and it wasn't an Obama 3rd term.

I35,

Are you concerned Trump's new UN ambassador wants to bring in refugees that you apparently fear will murder your grandkids?

HTown, it's pretty obvious that Trump - to his credit - is someone that listens and tries to learn from other smart people. If you haven't learned this by now, Trump is not an ideologue. He doesn't care if they disagreed months ago. He wants good people working for him. And Haley voted for Trump and supported him when it counted.

You're linking articles from months ago. Here is Trump's statement from a few hours ago:

“Governor Haley has a proven track record of bringing people together regardless of background or party affiliation to move critical policies forward for the betterment of her state and our country,” Trump said in a release Wednesday.

“She is also a proven dealmaker, and we look to be making plenty of deals. She will be a great leader representing us on the world stage,” he said.

So you believe that Haley no longer supports bringing in vetted refugees regardless of religion?

Has she said she has changed her stance anywhere on this?

I35 said he was worried about Hillary's refugee stance in a hypothetical election between Hillary and Haley (let's say for local dog catcher) and I pointed out Haley takes the same position on this issue.

Keep in mind...Trump's deficit is 1.75M total votes to HRC and growing so what we know is that Ohio, Florida and a few other swing states want a change. The plurality of America didn't vote for this.

Why is that important? That's not how a businessman thinks. Trump want smart competent people with a lot of ideas who will work together as a team. By accepting this job and a legal commission from the President, she implicitly accepts her role to support him.

Haley's job is to be one part of the national security team. Her job is to represent the US at the United Nations. She's taken many trips representing South Carolina's automotive and aerospace industries to Germany, France, the UK to bring companies to her state. She'll do a good job at the UN, provide her counsel at NSC meetings, and carry out the policy directives from the White House.

We don't actually know what the plurality of America would have voted, because we have an electoral college, which affects voter turnout, not a direct vote.

Democrats love science, and any paper submitted for peer review that claimed such a thing in its statisticsl analysis would be flatly rejected.

That's also not assuming when you say "America" you mean The States...where sovereignty of our democracy lies - hence the Electoral College. There's a reason why we're not the "People's Relublic of America." Because if we actually use States, as in The United STATES of America, Trump won a big majority.

OK. Would you accept that the plurality of voters whom voted in this election didn't support Trump? Trump won as the rules stipulate the electoral college elects our POTUS. He will receive the plurality of electors for the EC.
