Really , check your facts, last season Humphrey ranked 5th all time in number of catches and 5th all time in receiving yards. Considering that our Ehlinger had a lot more options and spread it around a lot more than the first 4 WR's on the record book then my case is made.
5 Rounds and not one Longhorn picked. Not very surprised. I
JF, value your opinion on these things.I am probably missing the joke here (I think) but Murray was 5'10+ and 207 at the NFL Combine. Wilson was 5'11,204 at the 2012 Combine. He ran ran a 4.55 at the Combine while Murray did not run.
I dont know if the Air Raid style will work in the NFL but I do think it will gets the best chance it will ever have with this combo of Coach Bro and Murray. If they succeed, they are going to change the league. Either way, AZ games are going to be must see TV next season. If they put up over 30 per game, it will be fun to watch. Likewise, if its a train wreck with Murray getting blasted, it will fun to watch.

Both Iowa 1st rounders are tight ends. How weird is that?4 players from Iowa selected so far, 2 in first round. UT ain't quite there yet.
my take is that Murray is a rag doll who will crumble the first time he gets hit.
Used against yes for sure. Maybe this is what you meant.Gonna hurt our recruiting betcha.
Possibly, but there are 3 mitigating factors.
1. First someone has to actually get a solid hit in on a very evasive target.
2. Are we acting like he's never been tackled before in his career?
3. Are we acting like it's still legal to hit quarterbacks in the NFL?
Absolutely spot on excellent post. He’s going to get hit. He’s going to make big mistakes and lose games. There will be times in the NFL he has to stay in the pocket, deliver the ball, and take a hit by a 340 DT. That just didn't happen at OU. I do think he grew some from his freshman year at A&M where he looked at most 5'8". But I'd say it still remains to be seen whether he can stay healthy taking hits that are coming. There are teams willing to take the 15 yd penalty early in a game just to knock the living crap out of him and see what he's got. They'll roll him a lot which will help and something the Titans should have done with Vince. But to think he's not going to get hit is nuts. LBs in the NFL are close to as fast and they'll have a running start.
JF, value your opinion on these things. Do you think his weight at the combine had an impact of him not running?....
I admit I thought he would get picked
Feel bad for LJH
Do you agree or do you think this is spin?
I think it almost has to be true, given we made it to the Conf Ttitle Game then then the Sugar Bowl, which we won. Because, if not, how do you otherwise explain that?
