New Jersey Governor Chris Christie

Ann Curry is just another pretty, empty talking-head who has her lackeys do her legwork. See Wheaton College.

welcome to the tv news business.

Only if you choose to watch those stations.

I have no such problem with The News Hour or the BBC.

And early morning network fare can hardly be called news.

He's on Face the Nation right now. Very impressive guy. I'm waiting for Bob Schieffer to ask him if he is going to run this time.

Bob Schieffer didn't ask him if he was going to run while I was watching.

I hope he changes his mind. He seems like our (conservatives) last, best hope.

Seems like Christie is not running. He would be a good one in my opinion but in this day you have to be good in front of the cameras to be a candidate that can win. The 'R's have to find the right person for that. There are a lot of good Republican governors and that is likely the best place to start looking. I'm afraid Newt has too much baggage although he has a great story as the last one to balance a budget.

As for Obama, the only Republican he polled against better than Christie was Palin.

the country doesnt really know who christie is outside those from new jersey or those that follow politics.

Christie is an enemy of the Nanny State. Not a surprise that one of the nanniest of all wouldnt be fans.

Cradle to grave bloated big government is going to take a massive hit at all levels. Long overdue. He knows that and it will probably cost him in NJ but not in the long run.

It's not like the arrogant fat *** couldn't use the walk.

if he and michelle obama got together, they might make an awesome sumo wrestling team.

Flying to his kids game in a helicopter in view of his platform of fiscal restraint is a colossal blunder.

I think there is something inherently flawed about the people who even bother running for office. They just arent as good or as talented as the electorate they are intended to serve.

I dont think it was always this way. Its ******* depressing.

The helicopter thing will dog him whether he gets in or not. That was an immense mistake/misjudgement on his part.

Gov. Chris Christie has taken the state helicopter 35 times since taking office in January 2010, including to survey flood and storm damage, according to State Police.

State Police Superintendent Col. Rick Fuentes released a statement arguing the flights don't cost the taxpayer anything.

Fuentes said the time police pilots fly the governor count as training time.

"It is important to understand that State Police helicopters fly daily homeland security missions, and use flight time for training purposes, more so lately as we acclimate our pilots to the new aircraft," Fuentes.

Fuentes said because of this, the flights have no extra cost to the taxpayers.
The Link

The Governor appeared to be much less the smack talker today when informing his constituents he would reimburse the State for his inappropriate use of its resources.

His favorables are down in New Jersey. Why?

Telling the truth and fixing problems is not always the best thing for your popularity. Lot's of people were upset about "Reaganomics" as he was in the process of turning the country around. Reagan took a hit at midterms and then won reelection in the biggest electoral landslide ever.
