eflow put it very well. I don't want to talk out of both sides of my mouth(!) but I have both a high valuation of fidelity (faithful to mine for the 22 yrs we've been married and hope to be faithful until death), as well as a great awareness of human frailty. And when you add 'celebrity' to the mix, it compounds matters. It is difficult to imagine the opportunities that so many of these high profile celebs have. My eyes were first opened, in this regard, when I read "Charlie Hustle", written years ago by Pete Rose.

Having said that, I'm not excusing Roger. The term 'hubris' which has surfaced a time or two, is appropriate. And his 'apology' is quite consistent with the behavior. In a strange way, I do believe that this entire episode can end up working out for Roger's ultimate good (I'm taking a long-term view and talking about character development, etc.--not $). The ball is in his court in that regard.
