MVP race

Why can't you see that Chris Paul deserves it? He took a team that NO ONE expected to make the playoffs to the #2 seed. That is greater than Kobe taking a team who most picked to be 5th or 6th in the league to #1. Furthermore, that whole argument is somewhat lame because it is not like Kobe led them to this unreal run to the top. They are the #1 seed by 1 game and would be #5 with 2 more losses. All of the West is pretty even.

Sure David West is an All Star but Chris Paul helped make that. He turned Tyson Chandler around. He is what makes that team click. The reason they both deserve it is because if you take either one off the team then neither come close to being in their current position. However, if you take Paul off the Hornets then you have a team competing for the #1 pick.

Phil Jackson could take the Lakers and have them competing for a playoff spot with or without Kobe. I think they would still win 45 games or so.

Lastly, Lamar Odom is a very good player. Laker fans like to dog him but he is a huge part of their success.

Kobe wins.

Says he finished 3rd twice. Crazy to think Dirk had finished 1st and 2nd before this season and Kobe hadn't finished higher than 3rd. 'Bout time in my mind. I think we have all come to realize that Nash with his impressive stats has not been the league's MVP over the past 3-4 seasons.
