I took my mom to the hospital last night with what I think is a TIA (mini stroke) so this is hard to read right now. To the same hospital where my cousin is recovering from 4 heart stents.

While Coach Leach has never appeared to be the most fit and healthy looking guy, I wonder if anything else could have contributed to such a massive and, apparently, untreatable, cardiac event.

Wonder if there was any kind of "medication" to prevent illness or something that could have made this worse.

I would watch his games for the single purpose of a postgame interview with him. No Xs or Os, or whatever mindless BS coachspeak would be thrown out. I like guys that don't take themself or the game too seriously.

Very sad and shocking. I'm 64. This hits you in the gut. Nobody knows when it will happen. A very viable mind and life. Then gone.

Damnit. RIP Coach Leach. You passed too soon, but you led a legendary life that will never be forgotten:hookem:

Life is a thread
Many colors
Thinly stretched
Holding together
The things we wear
The life we build
Then it breaks
Like a cobweb
The spider rebuilds
Will God do the same?

I only met him once but all of those reflections about how you don't forget what he says to you and how he treated everyone the same ring true. RIP.

Man,am I gonna miss the pirate. He was more fun to watch than the three stooges. You never knew what he would say. Class act. RIP,we will miss you coach.
