No. I checked, and there is absolutely, positively no wool on that cup. Therefore aggy has no interest in flirting with it.Has aggy ever won or even FLIRTED with the Director's Cup?
Won’t Texas get more points after the track and field NC next week in Austin? Our women team will be 1st or 2nd. Maybe folks are assuming the points we likely win.Now we need Stanford to beat Aggie ***! Having said that, it will cost us Directors Cup! Truth! Stanford leads us by “5 points”…. I’m cool as long as Aggy loses!
Tough Spot!
Alternatively it would be good win the directors cup in Palo Alto next weekend.Yeah, go Stanford. They can lose in the supers while we take home the title, along with the director's cup for good measure.
Gotta hit while the iron is hot! Whomever the Horns play next doesn’t need time to recover.Announcers said game is scheduled for 6 tomorrow, looks like the rain leaves the area by midafternoon around the time the 1st game begins, so might be a slight delay from the first game but likely getting these games wrapped up tomorrow.
Aggy would likely be ticked - maybe better to play overconfident Stanford at their place.I know you guys don’t want A&M to win, but if they do, we likely host the super if we also win ours and A&M comes here
Alternatively we could have the directors cup awarded at Disch-Falk field before the game with aggy.Aggy would likely be ticked - maybe better to play overconfident Stanford at their place.
I love when the ags get put where they belong, the back of the class. I do like their baseball coach, just not happy he is there.I wonder how conflicted aggy would be if somebody made it clear to them that if they win in Palo Alto, it means WE win the directors cup. It might flummox them so badly they choke the whole thing away, from their position in the winner's bracket.

Wouldn't they host?
Why? We are both #2 regional seeds. It normally goes to the bidder with the highest $$$.Wouldn't they host?
I don’t think that is true. They look at bid value, number of seats, and other factors to make a decision.whoever is ranked higher would host IF they put in a bid to host. Is A&M ranked higher than us?
I can think of one BAMF pitcher in the college game who is from Florida. It may not play out this way but Florida teams always put up big offensive numbers till they face real pitching. I’m not skeered.
And he did the same with mighty Miami's lineup. Now remember, LBJ held the Nation's top hitting team (LSU) down pretty well.
And against Texas, they only scored 1 point.
Real good pitchers can keep them in check, and sometimes shut them down.
Consider the following 3 game series:
Against Wake, in 3 games Miami scored: 0, 1, and 1 points
Against Virginia, in 3 games Miami scored: 2, 5, and 3 points.
I guess they're saving him for ......................................something.......?
Now this is a relief pitcher:
All-American, Andrew Walters.
"Walters has recorded a 9.7 [to 1] strikeout-to-walk ratio, punching out 68 hitters and issuing seven free passes. The Palm Bay, Fla., native has held opponents to a .168 batting average.
The 6-foot-4, 225-pound hurler ranks among the nation’s active career leaders in ERA (1.36, first), K/9 (15.1, first) and saves (25, tied for second)."
Yeah, he's good.
