Mav$ - Spurs

"Mav$"? Come on, don't be a douche. This is a good series and will probably go 7 games. Could go either way, but I'll take at-his-prime Dirk over osteoporosis Duncan knees FTW.

Hey, I'm a Mav$ fan. But when Cubes (a douche of epic proportions) goes out and spends the 6th highest payroll per player in all of professional team sports (higher than the Lakers or Knicks???), then they have truely earned the $ in their name.

Spurs win! I don't know how they do it. Were up 10 in the 3rd, mavs go on a 17-0 run, Spurs close it and make crucial shots in the last 4 minutes.
Go $pur$

OK
Mavs in 6.
I would change to Mavs in 7, but that would be giving the Spurs a lot more credit.

Now I just hope that come Monday I'm not saying

After what OKC did to the Lakers, I'm done making predictions. Any of these matches could go any way. More parity then there has ever been in the west. It be freakin awesome if OKC could beat the Lakers and then make it to the finals. Not bloody likely, but then they got about as good a chance as anyone right now. They are in better shape then the Mavs because at least they've won their game 4.

Great game tonight. Spurs played championship defense. The Mavs felt that this was their year to finally get what the Spurs have. Now they are down 3-1.

GO SPURS GO!!!

One more guys, one more to get to the next round. Duncan took the night off for his birthday, but we'll need him from here on out though.

I think I've seen this song before.

Spurs won't win game 5. Will be up to them to win game 6 to avoid going back to Dallas for #7.

Hook'em!!!

I'll be the first Spur fan to admit I was wrong. After getting owned on the glass in game 1 and looking horrible, the Spurs have pulled one of the most remarkable turnarounds I have seen in NBA ball in quite a while. They are playing championship ball right now with their defense looking like the old days, and Manu dominating games like he used to.

I really think that the injuries throughout the year that forced guys to sit and rest has helped the spurs come playoff time. It was a blessing in disguise. They look fresher and with the emergence of George Hill, the Spurs could be the team to beat in the West (along with Durantula and the Thunder

This is going to be fun to watch the rest of the way. I'd love to see the spurs and thunder for the western conf finals (I am pretty sure that would be a conf. finals matchup...)

Either way, the Spurs are back and primed for a real run. They can beat anyone in the west the way they are playing and it won't be long before the analysts start picking them as the team to beat in the west.

Even at 3-1, I'm not counting my chickens yet. We're still the underdog and have to go to Dallas fior Game 5. Lose that and, as Horn 69 said, the pressure is squarely on the Spurs in an essential must-win in a Game 6. Hopefully they've demorilazed the Mavs enough to close it out in 5, but I doubt it. Mavs fans will be rabid and looking for blood on Tuesday night. If their team can step up, this series remains.... long from over.

the mavs are 0-8 when down 3-1 in a series. Call it me jinxing them if you want, but this series has been tucked in and put to sleep. the "pressure" of the spurs having to win game 6 is alittle overhyped. Even if it does go to game 7 in Dallas, i can't see the mavs beating the spurs 3 straight times with the way that they are playing defense. The mavs lost this series in game 2 when they let the spurs take away home court, and in game 4 when the big 3 had their worst game in the history of their playoff runs, and the mavs still couldnt pull it out.

Putting the unpredictable injury aside, both teams have reverted to form - the Spurs are a battle-tested group of champions and the Mavs are battle-tested group of chokers. Dallas scares no one which is why the Spurs will oust them from the playoffs in another ignominious exit.

I've been a Mavs fan since their inaugural season. I'm so tired of seeing this type of performance year in and year out, and for the same reasons year in and year out. I would love to be proven wrong, but I think the Mavs are done. Time to blow it up and start over.

The only players left from the Finals Team are Dirk, Terry, and Damp. I assume by starting over, you mean trade Dirk.
