Yeah, but I think the Power-5 is going to eventually just be a "Power-1" the way things are going with TV contracts and all that. If the old Big East was considered part of the club, even with an unranked conference champ, I don't see any issue with a group of Cincy, OK State, ISU, WVU, etc. being held to the same standard.
 
I was in Austin a few days this week-------happiness is seeing Lockhart on the horizon and getting out of that clusterfuq that is Austin's traffic.

About half of those guys have no clue about what its like living in Lubbock in the winter (or the spring, summer, and fall). The weather is worse than El Paso. The only positive is the non-Tech-related people of the South Plains are among the best people in Texas.
 
At least Lubbock has some air conditioners. If humidity in El Paso gets to 10-15%, all those swamp coolers shut down, then the temp hits 108
 
El Paso has bad weather? Who knew. Grew up there when swamp coolers were all there was. Still a lot of them but conversion to refrigerated air is quite common now. Makes me wonder what the future will be with skyrocketing elect rates.

That response makes me count my blessings. I remember back in 80’s and early 90’s my stays in El Paso were LaQ and Extended Stays, then I moved to Marriot and now Hilton/Marriott. I am sooo grateful. Times have been good to me and thru it all I still love El Paso and UTEP.

A guy who I won't name,as chances are high he's not the only one who covers college football you think isn't a blithering idiot, thinks if Venables wanted a HC job he'd already have one. I agree.
