MACk going with Major to Visit Scott

agreed- thanks for pointing that out. Kinda like the mistakes of "they're and their" above when someone was talking about intelligence. Hey, it happens. You type when doing and thinking about other stuff and screw up.

Thanks for pointing out my mistake.

Didn't Colorado win a MNC by getting more downs to score than the rest of the teams in the nation that year?

Maybe Colorado should have to go 110 yards to score next year instead of 100 like everyone else.

Personally I think we will get him because from what I hear he is now very good friends with one of my buddies who is an Army AA and from what I hear he is not just saying stuff to the media. I'm not for sure we will get him but I think Mack and Major know how to recruit pretty damn well. And I just wanna know what this inside information is cuz you keep sayin you have it but we are apparently to poor to hear it cuz we don't subscribe to OB.

Bolt,

I'm not interest in the "which school is better" pissing contest. I just have a couple of serious questions I'd like your thoughts on.

If the Scott family has pretty much decided on CU then why are they even having Mack and Major over for an in-home visit? They don't have to let them visit. It's their house and they can always say "Thanks but we're not interested". The fact that they are visiting would seem to indicate that the Scott's are still very much open to considering Texas. Maybe still leaning to CU but still seriously considering Texas. Now if the visit falls through and never happens then I guess we'll know this was the case.

No- his mom was not offered a Job at CU. I read that blog and Horn fans picking up on it, thats not true. Not to say his mom hasn't been looking for work in Colorado though.

As for the huge mountain. Thats not a news flash. Sorry if it offends anyone. You don't need inside information to understand that- the public information would suffice. Like him calling our recruits and recruiting for CU. I agree he is a stand up kid- which is why I don't think he would be misleading our recruits- or our players.

Listen- what was my point? I have seen many posts claiming CU is only in it b/c of Josh. Thought I had made it clear that Scott has a tremendous relationship with our coaching staff and believes in what CU is doing.

I understand thats not enough for you guys. With that information- it does look like it could go either way. So I will just agree with you guys. It can go either way. UT has a lot going for it.

Once again- there was no name calling on my part. No insulting CU. I understand I am an outsider who posted something you guys don't want to hear and was not willing to back it up with sufficient information I was willing to post.

So I will end this "discussion" right here.

Pedro, very fair questions.

UT has a shot. Kid would be an idiot not to listen to what Mack and Major have to say. UT fans and Texas made up some ground at the AAA game and sure he is thinking about it.

So I am not saying he is misleading anyone. He has interviews with UT writers that has a UT slant. He has intereviews with CU writers that has a CU slant.

I strongly disagree that Mack and Major are going to walk into his living room and get him to pop. Which some people on this board think is going to happen.

I argued this happening with the relationship he has with his Uncle and our coaching staff. Thats as far as I am going to go- and if it lables me a troll, so be it.

You make good points. UT has entered the picture and you guys have a shot.

Thanks for commenting on the post and avoiding the insults.

Will be interesting to see where he ends up.

You never answered my question about your supposed inside information. I told you that he has become friends with a friend of mine who is going to UT and that he told him UT is looking really good. What is your information saying thats making you so sure he is going to CU.

Hobbes- I answered that question long ago.

I have a friend who is a friend who has a friend of someone who said .........

This is a free UT board. I am not going to post anything that is premium here. Regardess, to counter your post- there are plenty of public quotes from our recruits and players that say Scott is going to CU.

That is all I need to say in this thread.

Doesn't matter what I know, what I hear- you guys wouldn't believe it and rightfully call me a troll or being full of it.

I aplogize for pointing out its a steep hill to climb. You guys disagree- thats absolutely fine.

why do you keep coming back Bolt?? it seems like this discussion is going nowhere and you have already said goodbye on a few different post.

SBG - b/c people keep responding and asking questions.

Ruby- you are right- there haven't been any quotes since Charles declared. I know he said how big it was. I know his updates and quotes since Charles declared.

Believe me- I understand where UT fan is coming from.

Just to tangent a little. I heard the reason Charles declared was b/c he was a poor student and just wanted to get to the league. What are you guys hearing? Is he a first day draft pick with all these RBs declaring? I haven't seen a projection yet. Wonder if he regrets it?

Thanks guys. Actually- I got that from a UT fan I work with. He said that Charles always had a hard time in school and with your RB coach getting re-assigned that he just wants the $$$. Will let him know that he doesn't know **** next time I see him.
He thinks Scott is a Horn too fwiw.

UT probably has some long odds for getting this guy, but not as long as being down 12 with 6 minutes left to the greatest team of all time for the national championship.

Mack is the Vince Young of recruiting. Hawkins should be a little nervous.

I like CU and think they are getting some things going, but that program isnt on UTs level and no number of internet posts can change that.

Would be interesting to see Scott score a couple TDs against CU in Boulder this year. The fans will be throwing bigger batteries.

There hasn't been a post this many pages on the recruiting board in forever. Shocking.

I have no information on Scott, but as long as I've been following recruiting, once a player starts to re-think his original plans, the shoe usually drops. I don't know how secure Scott was originally with CU, but if he started to slip a little after the Charles announcement, it's a good sign for UT.

Wish I knew how to post photos but I don't. If I did I would post the one of Scott flashing the Hook'em sign with Buckner and Williams at the Army AA game.

Put me in the Scott will be a Horn camp.

And I'm all for giving the Laphroaig troll award to bolt. I remember when we only had to put up with annoying Sooners on this board.

See- you guys need a thread with a bunch of posts. I troll for good reason.

Here is another question for you to ponder.

Its well established that Josh and Scott are like brothers. They really have a strong bond. Hagan recruited Josh to Boulder. Hagan and Scott have a very good relationship.

All that I have said many times on this thread. But here is a surface level question.

How much of a FU do you think it would be to switch up and not only attend a different school- but to play AGAINST Josh and Hagan at least 2x maybe more.

Thoughts?

jinx- that picutre is nice. Of course means about as much as this one. Which is to say- not much. Hopefully this works. If not- the link is there.
The Link

Fair point. But would it be a FU to the recruits he has recruited for CU and switched up the last couple weeks of NSD? I agree- he needs to do what is best for him. But since we all agree he seems like a stand up guy- I have a different take. But can see your point.

As for better options for Josh. He was offered by both SC and UCLA in January. It took a lot to hold off those schools- but he went with the relationship he had with Hagan.

Regardless, I know you see UT as the "better" option. And don't blame you. But Katoa and Givens both saw CU as a petty good option. CU and UT are a lot a like. UT has the edge in most categories- but CU is not too far behind. Some kids would see CU as a fine option. And sure Scott does too.
