LSU

Good game fellas. Y’all are good.

Very good game. The difference comes down to that dropped TD in the first.

Congrats and good luck, I hope this is our only loss and we meet again in the playoffs. Maybe by then your guys will stop getting all those vaginal cramps. :smokin:

I'm looking forward to some serious payback in BR when we will be bringing back all the starters and you guys will be inexperienced.

IMO neither team deserved the DBU crown, both offenses destroyed the other's defense.

Big time props to Joe Burrows, he was a hell of a play maker. Definitely the difference in the game.

Congrats to the Tigers, they made a few more plays. Lots of receiver talent on the field for both teams and that made it a tough night for all the db’s especially our young ones.

Just got back. Quick takes:

No more September 100 degree games for me. Can’t take it, unless I can find a great cooling fan.

LSU is a very good team.

Texas is a very good team, but with a D that just isn’t ready for prime time yet. Perhaps if/when the corners mature... But not much of a rush either.

Sam is a terrific player.

Ingram isn’t the answer. He has no vision. In fact, I believe that Roschon Johnson is a better back already. We have what we have but to me, Ingram is a disappointment.

Does coach O, well, cheat? I’ll bet that no one has ever seen a game in which one team — and one team only — has 10 + stoppages for “injuries.” That’s insane, and it doesn’t happen. The officiating crew should have started penalizing them (delay of game) after the first five. Remember, one team only! It was almost certainly a ploy, and it was handled very poorly. And by the way, even if it wasn’t a ploy, the DOG penalties should have been used.

Great game between two good teams. As stated above, our secondary isn’t quite ready for prime time. I do think the difference was our red zone in the first half. Sam played great, but he missed several throws.

I like where we are headed.

So many what ifs in this game, and any one of them could have changed things.

So, did Roschon Johnson beat out Ingram or was he hurt? (I just got back from game, too.)

Great atmosphere; I think recruits would be impressed with that, even though it was a loss.

Yeah, Sam was great. That QB for LSU was really good. Perfect passes almost every time.

Most of the time, our defensive liability is #38. Not sure #4 played any better when he was in there.

#5 Green played well but Burrow in most cases was hot, placing the ball perfectly away from the DB

Burrows is as good as I’ve seen in the quick read pass. Sooooo many times had he held a split second longer he was had - but he not only got it off he completed it. Good hard fought game.
I too think Roschon earned more time. I’m getting tired of watching Texas backs going down by arm tackles.

Last night Ingram was basically Kyle Porter. Roschon has fire-in-the-belly when he runs and he seems to be clearly our best RB at this early point in the season.

I still don’t know why Daniel Young is not even in a rotation any more. He has been a very capable back at times.

Young has high ankle sprain.
Out a few weeks.

Young, although hurt currently, is a poor man’s version of Ingram. No vision. Runs right up the backs of the OLs. Doesn’t see holes.

That’s basically what I believe TH was saying about Ingram. He needs to develop patience. I’ll believe it when I see it. The dude missed a number of cut back opportunities last night.

Good game fellas. Y’all are good.
It was an excellent game and as Orgeron said, if they had to give the ball back on that last drive, they could not stop Texas. Both teams have good offenses. Texas only back last night was Rashon. LSU has some exceptional WR but that Jefferson is beyond words. Hats off to that guy!!!
